Do you think that you should look for gay healthcare or gay-friendly healthcare when you look for a doctor? Or will just anyone do?

I think you should look for a doctor that's qualified to treat your particular ailment. If I have cancer, I'm not going to think about whether or not the doctor is gay or gay-friendly. I'm going to make sure the doctor has had some success with his/her patients. Isn't that more important? And why would a gay doctor be better at setting a broken bone than a straight one? It really doesn't matter in the long run. Besides, I'd rather not live in a segregated world. My sexuality is important to me, but not so important that every aspect of my life revolves around it. There's more to me than that.

I totaly agree with monosphere. I think that if there were the option of seeing a Dr. that was obviously prejudice & one that had an open mind I would choose the later but you don't always get that choice. As long as the Dr. in question treats my ailment & treats me with respect I don't give a rat's patoot what they think politically, sexually, or religiously.

well you've already caught the queers so it's too late to find a dr. that'll fix ya up ;) but i'd more be one to just look for a qualified practitioner. my acupuncturist is this radcore gay guy though (purely coincidence, i found out cause my mom had a crush on him and well...)
