I'm a freelance writer working on an article about gay fans of mixed martial arts (UFC, PRIDE). I posted the following questions on a couple of MMA sites, by the way, and the threads were promptly taken down or locked
    Anyway, here goes:

--Why are you a fan of UFC? For the sport, for the guys, or both?

--Do you get arroused watching fights?

--Do you and your gay friends watch fights together?

--Do you fantasize about any particular fighter? If so, who? And what is the fantasy?

--How much money have you spent on UFC products in the last year?

Feel free to IM me or post answers.

    Thanks.

--Why are you a fan of UFC? For the sport, for the guys, or both?

I am a fan of the sport because I am into martial arts, MMA made me aware of the essential foundations of what works in the martial arts and so now I direct my training towards MMA and away from traditional methods (atleast the useless ones).
I don't watch MMA to get a sexual kick out of the fighters.

--Do you get aroused watching fights?

No, Fighters don't arouse me in the slightest:
A: because I don't watch fights for that reason, if I want to be aroused I would watch porn.
B: I don't see fighters as sexual objects, although I am aware that they are sexual beings I don't see them in that light, plus alot of them just aren't my type (too big, too battered looking).
C: I watch fights to admire the fight itself, the techniques involved, the intricacies and skill is what I like to watch, so I can learn to do as they do or to get inspiration for my own training.

--Do you and your gay friends watch fights together?

    No.

--Do you fantasize about any particular fighter? If so, who? And what is the fantasy?

No, I don't see fighters in that light.

--How much money have you spent on UFC products in the last year?

None that I know of, England isn't the ideal place to buy UFC products and even if it were I would probably only buy training equipment.

Ps. Will you make your finished artical avalable on the net?

I have no idea what it is.

I have no interest in martial arts at all. I find it very uninteresting.. (not to offend anyone)
