garden path

    whats the best method of laying a garden path - a dry "sharp and cement mix" or a wet shallow concrete mix?

    also hoiw long doies a dry mix have to stay in place till its safe to walk on ?

    I never use concrete, I like sand and pavers.

    Unless you your dead set on concret. Might think of a gravel path.
    The way I do it is to dig out the route you want, lay down a layer of landscaping fabic and cover with a 4 inch layer of gravel, then smooth the grade with a rake.
    The fabric will block and weeds or wild grasses from growing up through the gravel.

    I buy ours at Costco, they sell it cheaper than my wholesale price at the supply company I deal with..

    The earth doesn't like concrete! Be kind to it! Gravel with a liner underneath or sand and flat stones like the man says!!
