I was first turned on to them a couple months ago when I would out the where playing at Camp Barefoot II. I listened to a lil of there stuff on the net and thought it was good, but was not blown away.

But when they took the stage @ Camp Barefoot it blew me away. They just kept jamming and jamming. It seemed as the jam was just progressing and progressing towards at climax, but just kept building higher and higher.

There regular drummer was not able to make it out to the east coast for this leg and was replaced by Shawn(I will find his last name). Supposedly Princes drummer.

But you should go check out

    GARAJ MAHAL

awww, Alan couldn't deal with the hippies?

I started seeing GM because of Alan Hertz, and while I like Kai, I really REALLY dig Fareed Haque group more.

but, I'd crawl over ground glass to hear Spect or Weapons of Mass Destruction.

it's so odd that they are brought up. I live in a super small town where not much ever happens but a few years back there was a party called swampstock that took place ...well around a huge swamp. anyways Garaj Mahal played there.small world. where are they from?

I've said for year that Steve and Fareed are my top two living guitarists.
    Steve's actually slipping.
    Yes, *I* said that.

for the keller fans, check out Cookies on Dream for Fareed's work, and Twinkle for Steve (and John Molo)
