Okay, I went through most of the threads started here & didn't see one where anybody was inquiring about How To Gain Weight! lol I'm not surprized, as most people are having the problem with losing weight!

I am nearly 40 and wasn't exactly unhealthily overweight to begin with. My body build is medium, stand 5ft 6' and DID weigh 145lbs.. My ideal weight for my heighth is 135lbs, I started working at a factory (12 hr. shifts) and I eat! I take a full course meal most of the time or eat soup and a couple sandwiches on my measely 30 minute lunch break. I still eat a meal, as beat as I am, when I come home. Within 3 months time or less Ive gone down to 128lbs. I thought maybe with the cooler days ahead I would like umm, lol sweat less at work, thus stop losing and hopefully gain? Not happening!!

Does anybody have any sugjestions or know of healthy foods high in something lol that would put some weight back on my bones??? Hell, got friends that tell me I am looking anorexic & personally, I feel it.

basically, to gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you are burning. since your burning more calories than you eat, you are losing weight. you want to try to eat healthy, complex carbs, high protein, good fat and try to stay away from processed foods. if possible, try to have 5-6 small meals a day...it works a lot better than 3 big meals a day. eggs are a good source of protein. maybe you could look into a supplement...its your choice on wheter or not to supplement.

you might feel like your sweating less, but your still sweating as you normally do...you just can't tell because it is not as obvious as it would be on hot days. so staying hydrated is a good idea. a lot of people become very dehydrated during the winter monthes because they dont' think they need drink as much water as they did in the warmer months, but thats not true. you still need to be hydrated.

if you keep loosing weight no matter waht you do, pleese see a doctor, get yourself checked for diabetes etc.

A lack of blood insulin makes it so that all the sugars in you blood cant be used by body cells. you can eat all as much as can, but your body will still slowly starve to death.

in the span of about 4 months, an uncle of mine went frim 150ish lbs down
about 110 pounds before my aunt drug him in by the ears to see a doctor. where he was diagnosed type 2 diabetes. he was about 50. his weight is back up and hes doing good now.
