I know it's not exactly in the public eye at the moment (a la twat head bush) but i just thought i'd tell you a story. I live in Abingdon, near Oxford and am In the 6th form...on a recent Geography field trip to the peak district i was feeling mighty miserable due to splitting up with my GF. I met on this trip a guy called David Jones, a trials biker from another school who was damn near enough the most friendly person i've ever met and made me feel a whole lot better about myself, something which i've never forgotten. About a week after the trip, a 16 year old boy driving a completely unroadworthy car without insurance or a liscence hit David on his bike whilst racing another car at about 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. David was killed and the driver simply drove off. What i find so amazing is that the english judicial system has 'detained' this insignificant piece of shit for 4 years. 4 fucking years. David was a better man than this prick ever was, is, or could hope to be and yet he will be driving in 6 years and will be let out of jail in about 2 years. you have to ask, is that really worth somebodies life? R.I.P DJ
It's hard to lose someone you care about. Even in other more 'ordinary' circumstances you'd be asking "why?". I know life doesn't always seem fair. The driver who killed him has made some really stupid mistakes and will be paying for them. But your friend will be in a better place and I'm sure he was a good person who wouldn't want you to be bitter about what happened. But I do understand your anger and grief...sorry man...
