It looks like the problem is somewhere between the chair and the keyboard.

well if you wanna get it in the order you want you can do a couple things. Create a playlist or edit the artist album info

to eject the ipod you click on button next to your ipod's name (mine would say jakes ipod) and it'll say you can now safely remove it

dude its not that hard to figure it out i did and im fucking retard when it comes to software and computers

wow your an idiot if you cant figure out itunes. i use itunes all the time to burn cds and shit with that cd text. i have had it put songs in a random order before but you can just sort by the track number in a different tab. i always thought it was alright i dont mess with my ipod (its an old ass ipod mini 4gig) no color screen or anything. do you use songs that you download from itunes because ive never done that.

Hmmmm with all my experience I adore apple products. I hate iTunes with a passion, but I'm on a mac so I can't use a good version of winamp. If it says eject before unplugging then it is most likely in disk use mode. To change this uncheck the enable disk use mode box in the iPod option screen. If you want that feature left on, but don't know how to eject it, you can go to the bottom right corner of the iTunes screen and click the eject iPod button, or you can right click the iPod in the left sidebar and hit eject. I'm not sure on why it won't put music on your iPod, unless you are trying to put music on an iPod that is already synced with another computer. Also you put music into the iTunes library and then sync it with the library, you can't just drag and drop the music onto the iPod, if I understand you correctly.

well my phones mp3 player is simple to use, so is my old broken plain mp3, you either use an incredibly simple program, or theres a data folder onmy computer which u can drag files on, itunes just pretty much advertises to buy its shit. and no my music is either from cd's or downloaded.

Ok well the iPod was made for the general populace aka why iTunes is almost backwards retarded. They don't expect people to want to drag and drop their music onto the iPod, they expect people to want an application do all of that. You can drag and drop your music into the itunes library. Then you need to sync the iPod to the computer, this usually happens by default when the iPod is plugged in. A message from iTunes should pop up the first time you do this and it should ask you if you want to sync this ipod with the library on this computer (you are technically only allowed to sync to one computer's library).

i had to unplug and plug in again i think, it recognised it after, and i done the sinc and now all my songs are on it. wow i cant believe how angry it made me earlier lol. but i still think they should keep simple things with simple apps. all i needed was an app to put songs on my ipod, i didnt want a pc music/film player, i have bs and realplayer and divx for that

Well if you are on a pc and ever have some spare time install WinAmp. It has the ability to syn with ipods, it comes with one of the best visualizers (MilkDrop, you just need to set it as your default), and you can install codecs to play just about every kind of media. Sadly there is no WinAmp version for Mac that doesn't suck complete balls. The main reason I like winamp is MilkDrop (made by Ryan Geiss). If you google MilkDrop, Winamp, or Ryan Geiss, you can find more information.

^ i had it before, only way i was able to watch dvd's on PC. atm i have bs player, real player, divx player and itunes.
when i DL films, if they dont work on bs, i try realplayer (works 90% if BS doesnt) if that fails, XVID playes the rest of 90%. its a neat setup imo lol, tho nothing seems to fix them shitty films where sound is 2 sec ahead or behind the video

I agree with that. VLC is a great player for all types of videos. I'm not big on the interface for music though. VLC will play your dvds for you, and then you only have two players. I would keep the divx web plugin installed, but delete the player.

^ oh i dont mind, before i had to DL some addictional codecs through google - its all fine now =). all i would like now is to find out what cable i need to connect my pc to my tv, to watch films on. and also im beggining to like the ipod now, it has sweet navigation, and yeah got the playlist all done. now i just need to DL more songs. also is it still considered an mp3 player if it can play videos and can show pics and all?
