haha, i wonder how horrible it would be for a fruit fly to see a human open their mouth and move their head through a gathering of fruit flies.

Ewwww...

Put a bowl of sugar mixed with something like Javex. Make it a good pile of sugar, but enough of the liquid so that the sugar is dampened, but not completely mixed into the liquid. Set it on the counter where the fruitflies frequent.

Also, scrub all your surfaces with Javex or window cleaner. And DON'T USE VINEGAR! They lay eggs in that.
