I listen to cheesy 80's music a lot. (not that that has anything to do with boston, to be honest i cant picture one boston song)
Boston is pure genious They could've been like any other late 70's to mid 80's flash in the pan hairband, but because of their name, 'Boston' - they are guaranteed to get more airplay than other cheese of that era such as Frampton, in the metro Boston area for decades. That's the first thing I noticed when I moved within a couple hours of Boston. I hadn't heard them on the radio in years, but they still play them around these parts all the time. Brilliant marketing, but annoying to the ears
Does this ring a bell? I looked out this morning and the sun was gone Turned on some music to start my day I lost myself in a familiar song I closed my eyes and I slipped away It's more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling) I begin dreaming (more than a feeling) 'till I see Marianne walk away I see my Marianne walkin' away
I had completely forgotten about that song.. Now it's going to be stuck in my head.. Thanks! *more than a feeling*
hmm, never been to Chicago and don't know what kind of airplay they get in the Windy City. All I know is that I think by law, all classic rock stations within 150 miles of Boston are required to play More than a Feeling and Rock and Roll Band at least once a day.
You didn't get it... Chicago the band Chicago the city is cool, I think ALL classic rock stations are required to play Boston once an hour, there must be 27 Boston songs on the radio at any given time in the US
Now you have to start the 2 year process of trying to get out/praying you don't hear it on the radio somehow
oh, I must certainly got it. I guess I didn't pharase it right. I was wondering if Chicago gets as much airtime in Chicago as Boston does in Boston I'd imagine Alabama still rocks the airways in Alabama though
I wonder if I can some kind of grant to monitor the various bands in their namesake areas......a longshot that could take it all is "the Oak Ridge Boys" if you went to Oak Ridge, I'd guarantee they would be on at an given moment
or better still change the name of your band to Columbus. You could be famous and a millionaire. Just remember, I'd have to be given royalties because of this post though
They sing my song! (Amanda for those of you who haven't found out Ramona's not my real name) Funny enough, it was one of the most popular songs the year I was born ('86). I really don't like them...lol.
