Well, yesterday,I fought the tears all day,& even refrained from drinking last nite cuz of having to work today. But tonite,I'm sittin here, getting plastered, mourning the loss of one of my most favorite musicians ever..I just don't know how to take this.I've been Jammin pantera for prolly 12+ years now..Their music has been,& always will be a huge part of my life.& not only is "dime" dead, but fans as well, who were just there for a good time. That could've been anywhere,at any show..I cant understand for the life of me how one person could be so fucked up..Not only have I lost an"idol" I feel like I lost the faith that I had that humans are generlly good,ya know..If anyone has any kind words,or is feelin my pain here, please help me out..If you have nothing nice to say, then please just fuck off & leave me alone..I apologize for going on a rant here I just needed to vent a little..

I didn't listen to much Pantera, but I read a lot of interviews with Dime, and you could tell the guy just lived to play guitar. He was the real deal. When Lennon was killed, I felt pretty bad too. There are a lot of similarities (not only the date).. Both were appraochable people.. You could walk right up to John on the street. Darrell seemed to be on the same level with his fans. And anytime someone is taken out in such a senseless and violent way it hurts those who loved them. You are the logical answer to a fucked up situation.. When I get to feeling bad about stuff, I listen to music. In this case, I'm sure Dime would want you to jam some Pantera for him.. Or Kiss.. He dug them a lot.

What happened? Did he slip on a banana peel and fall in a fire?

Yeah this was really sad. I never really listened to Pantera, but my ex husband did (and knew them in an aquaintance sort of way), and he was really affected by dimebag's death. My ex is in a pretty popular Northwest-area band, and I think this made him realize the real danger in performing in front of a bunch of people like that...you never know who will be in the audience (or climbing a fence to get in for free...with a mission to kill...wtf). I think the saddest thing about this incident is that dimebag's brother was right there with him and pretty much watched his bro die. I mean how shitty is that? :(

    Fuckin psychos.

im still in shock over this, ive been a fan of his and pantera since the 80s

I truely wish the killer hadnt been shot. I'd like to have seen the guy rot in a prison cell for the rest of his life. death was too easy on him
