I don't know if it's the channels I've been watching or what. But these commercials keep coming on that make me hate myself for being a human. I mean what do they want me to say, here take all my money? I already have a monthly charity set up for 2 dog rescues. I think they need to stop being fucking pussies and make commercials showing the trash of our species. Like billy bob skinning a deer while his dogs are chained up and starving, and jamal trying to rap with a homemade grill in his mouth talking about how his dogs are bout it. Or fat mike and his baby mama sandra breeding dogs and selling them in parking lots because they are too worthless to get off their fat asses and get a job. So people grab the pitch forks and start eliminating the dead weight. I mean what the fuck. When did we become such a bunch of pussies afraid to deal with problems head on?
omg… "jamal" lol this is too much. and "sandra" giving her husband head in the walmart parking lot. ugh I can't take it. everyone is all about being PC nowadays. I can't be bothered with it personally.
I feel like this stuff isn't addressed or ranted about enough. I've seen the sandras giving head at walmart parking lots because they sold 3 pups and could get their oxy's but still go inside and buy a 3 meat digorno. $150/month for a nightly guilt trip. Fuck this I'm leaving it on movie channels from now on.
Just DVR everything and FF - problem solved. Or stop giving a fuck. You do your part. Can't save everyone and some people don't want to be 'saved'.
I’ve been seeing those same commercials We must be watching the same shows but I doubt it because the only shows I’ve been watching recently are The NFL, ESPN, The Breaking Bad Marathon, and Ancient Aliens (hosted by the guy with the weird hairdo Giorgio Tsoukalos) Hotwater
I dvr the shows I actually follow, but at night I either have music playing or the tv on in the background, and I keep being bombarded with those commercials. It was on FX and that kept coming on. So I'm leaving it on the movie channels in the background now, before I send them a bunch of money for some shivering yorkies.
That’s what they want – don’t give in; I’ve also been seeing a lot of starving kids advertisements – I do what I can when I have the extra money but I’m not going to be a sucker. Hotwater
lmfao I'm dying over shivering yorkies. this one is pretty cute with his sweatshirt. see what good your money does?
Haha why do those dogs always look like they are sad or crying? Even a yorkie in a hoodie is begging for my duckets
When I hear/see those damn commercials start, I always turn my head and usually find something to read/look through at that moment. Still, it tears my nerves up. As far as in r/l, DO NOT THINK the ASPCA will do anything but maybe do some talking. There was a situation I posted all about that started 12/25/2010 with a cat being trapped in a building across the road from my house. Oh, everything wound up turning out alright...but NOT because the ASPCA or any law enforcement helped whatsoever! I literally contacted every single animal anything agency as well as the county law. I wound up being threatened by an asshole officer of some type that I could be cited for violation of leash law. He wasn't particularly pleased when I informed him that #1-this wasn't my cat, but if it ever got out alive it WOULD BE and #2 - THERE IS NO LEASH LAW FOR CATS IN THIS STATE. As pleased as it briefly made me to stand up for myself and know the law in the matter, it did NO good! I ran into an old friend - a 6'5" ex-marine, who helped me and went and had a word of prayer with the person that was renting that building. On January 9, 2011, my friend, who will be called Moses, went with the demon to the building and got the cat out. From that point on, BB (black bob-tailed) has been an inside part of the family. Anyway, I am NO fan of the ASPCA!!! Edit: From 12/25/10 - 1/9/11 I covertly went over there and fed her water and ground up dry cat food by slipping it under the door on a piece of stiff plastic.
I can almost hear Sarah McLachlan crying all the way to the bank to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars per commercial hotwater
I think the people affected by these commercials are, like you, already supporting stray or abused animals. The people they intend to reach are not watching or caring or are in the kitchen getting another beer out of the refrigerator. The ASPCA commercials do seem to be on a lot more or I have been watching TV more lately. The commercials get to me too because I don't want to see animals suffering at the hands of stupid people. On the other hand, I know that I adopted as many animals as I can support and I also support my local Humane Society which is a local no kill shelter. They certainly don't have the funds to have commercials on TV because the money they take in goes to the animals they save. Lynn, I turn away too and usually look at Ember (cat) or Grace (dog) and pet them if they are within reach (one usually is).
We Obviously Don't Get These Commercials That Are Upsetting You Fellow Pet Lovers Here In Australia, Could Somebody Please Post What They Consider To Be The Most Offensive Of Them.... Cheers Glen.
Here are a couple I have seen lately. http://www.ispot.tv/ad/72mv/aspca-somewhere-in-america http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7V6J/aspca-if-animals-could-speak
