the thing with morrison is that he was just a person, had some crazy ass ideas and was pretty fucking amazing, but never-the-less he was just a person
people make mistakes..

 

he wasn't that darn amazing
he was an average songwriter (for that time period.... very below average by today's standards) and a below average singer even for back then (though, unlike songwriting, good singing never really tends to change regardless of the era).

oliver stone twists everything, and i'm not just talking about that movie
yeah he sounds like a dick, but he still had a huge amount of talent, maybe not as a songwriter, but his main focus was poetry..

i don't really care that much about morrison anymore, i used to be obsessed..

 

music is more fucking organic than that though.I wouldn't listen to the doors much now,but by christ I had a good summer all those years ago when I did.But so vast is the universe of music that there is no need to linger for too long on one style - there is so much to discover - and u can always come back to the old familiars when the time seems just right

i don't know... most of my friends don't like him much... and it's totally ok. it's not a big deal actually. i won't hate anyone just for liking or disliking jim morrison. i enjoy reading his poetry, but that's just me.
