seriously, though. bush may suck, but i think we just weren't prepared because we STILL never think bad shit's gonna happen to us.

 

Seriously though, i do think he has made some unpopular choices [and i don't think it is even that personal people just dislike the dicisions].. but i do believe he gets blind hatred aimed at him for dicisions that are more complex than 'bring our boys home' 'no blood for oil' etc etc etc. Blindly ignoring anything that stands in the way of that opinion.. I could have almost started a thread on Monday about 'bush being unprepared' and the other myriad of 'accusations' being spouted within these forums...even if they are true or not.. just regardless.

'Bush deciedes to think before action in hurrican crisis'

This might be true and could be true.. but they are not popular opinions to hold

People will remember the headline and agree and not really take much notice to the 'reasonable' 'heartfelt' point Jolie makes..

Preparation? They evacuated the fucking city. They convertd a four line highway to an eight lane one way highway. Everyone had every opportunity to evacuate.

What the hell did you want Bush to do, build a fucking wall around New Orleans? Or maybe you wanted him to dance naked around a fucking fire and chant to the goddamned Indian gods to save these poor people's souls?

I just wonder what idiotic things RT would be saying if the hurricane had been a direct hit and had completely leveled New Orleans.

 

yeah, apparently it's only okay to bash bush over the municipal fuck ups of the new orleans city government, who KNEW what they had to deal with, had the means of dealing with it, even had a plan to deal with it, and never once followed their own plan to evacuate the poor and car-less using city and school busses. it's much more entertaining to listen to the mayor cuss and piss and moan than to ask him why he didn't do HIS fucking job.
