Hey folks, Glad to be here. Hippie minded off gridder from northern penobscot Maine... Love the page hope to learn as well as contribute tidbits of knowledge picked up along the way...
Well it's alot like always having some form of work to do, but somehow you enjoy every minute of it... Nothing like a moonrise and a billion stars to keep you company... My only regret is that I didn't take the plunge sooner. It's been a wonderful learning experience and I have met some great people along the way...here's a view of one of the streams on property
My cousin is somewhere north of Augusta. I went to college down in Gorham. Don't know how you off-the-grid folks do it. I'm too citified. Anyway, welcome to the Hip
Cacophony of rain on a tin roof, Wood stove warming my soul, Without taking a step outside, Without so much as glance out the window, I know my place in the universe. While others walk through nature, I am fed at mother nature's breast. Suck it up!
Grandma was from Biddeford. I've lived in Wells and Old Orchard Beach in the past (all three in York County). Only been in Augusta twice and Bangor once. I try to visit Portland when I can. Anyways...welcome to HIP!
USM in Gorham, I think? Never been to the campus. Wells Beach was nice if the seas weren't angry. No pier like O.O.B. has, but not as crowded as they'd be either. Head down Mile Road between the marshes off of US Route 1 and you know you're almost there! Got my first cat in 1975 along Atlantic Avenue.
Well actually, I'm a Connecticut native. It's just that I've lived in Maine twice and try to visit when I'm able to.
