Attempting to inherity full land responsibilities on property outside Athens, Georgia. It is 200 acres with 13 miles of lakeshore stocked for fishing. Land is uttilized by neighbors for grazing.. When i graduate college in six months i would like to go there and see what i can do to fix it up. I was considering treefarming.. I do not believe in working many years to organize a plan to retire when i can be doing it now.. I want this land to aid in bettering others lives who do not wish to work to become rich, but make it for those who want a quality life living with the earth... I have not begun to mention it those i think are already in, but wished to extend my thoughts to strangers and see if they had advice... Id appreciate any response. We can do less harm when we work together!

Well, wish I knew some advice. With neighbors using the land as well for grazing, perhaps you can come in with chickens to eat the fly larva out of the cow poop, and then sell the eggs? Gain off your neighbors' need of the land!

I also suggest that you find a way to keep from over using what is available... Plant a tree for each you cut, don't over fish...... fuck.... wish I had 200 acres!!!
