Friday Feminist Fuck You: The Bush Administration Source: www.youtube.com Women getting their knickers in a twist...
That woman irritate me because she uses tactics similar to those she derides as the tactics of misogynists. I support feminism, I just get pissed when people present shit in this sort of way. Sean Hannity does the same thing, and by god I wish a piano would drop on his ass
LOL. What way? She's talking about women's reproductive rights being targeted. You think that's somehow misogynistic?
That might be true. The best thing to do then is, go home, have a nap. and then post a reasoned response to the issue. Rather than coming across as if you have just missed three menstrual cycles.
I can't view the video so therefore I can't make a clear comment.. Though, I will say when people are passionate about something others tend to think they are being stupid, if these women are standing up for something they believe in, what's so horrible about that? I can say that with anything, regardless how I feel about the matter... Haha, you blokes always think women are getting their knickers in a twist if they even speak too loudly...
I'm sorry that the lady comes across the way I percieve it. I would not agree with her or look into the issue any further (to see if she has a point) ... because of the way she is addressing the issue. I have looked into the issue as it happens, and maybe focusing on the way she presents herself is wrong. For that I apologise.
Ive watched the video a few times now to look for ways she could be perceived negatively or mysoginistic-like qualities, but all I see are strong, informative points. She didnt once raise her voice. So I dont get what you are seeing. She even has a light sense of humour.
For me she comes across as a man hating democrat who has her blinkers on. I'm not the only one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8boK2cg96Q Don't hate me for hating her ... I don't hate the message.
I too assume women who talk political like are having PMS. Anyway, here are some of the effects of the global gag rule which she mentioned: http://www.globalgagrule.org/pdfs/issue_factsheets/GGR_fact_maternaldeath.pdf
Why are we always bringing up PMS when talking about women who speak about issues, regardless of how they present it...I'm going to start saying that about men, not PMS mind you, but I will think of something... I wish I could view the video so I could really get an idea of what you guys are talking about...
She came across as man hating because she was upset about a political policy which primarily effects women? If she was speaking about African aid, which she did sort of grace, would she come off as white hating? And your suggesting your point is affirmed because it got other people mad too... mad enough to send death threats and ask for sandwiches?
I was being ironic. A woman said "fuck you president Bush, and then began to speak of a Bush administration policy which wouldn't allow public clinics to deny health care providers based on their decisions about medicines which could affect their patients health, in this case, public clinics couldn't refuse to hire doctors against contraception. Bringing this issue to light angers Odon so. And he wants a sandwich.
