I'm a big fan of French movies. I really liked Amelie Poulain, Love Me If You Dare, With Love From The Age of Reason, The City of Lost Children, A Very Long Engagement...I would appreciate if someone could list more that I should watch. Some that are as good as these. Thanks. Peace
I don't watch many french movies, but, off the top of my head : - De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté - Le goût des autres - Nikita - Cuisine et dépendances - Papa None of those are romantic movies though, sorry.
There is this old one it's black and white about a boy who runs away from home and gets sent to like a boys home it's good
I dont know if Quebec movies count but ''1981'' and ''c'est pas moi je le jure'' are both excellent films.
Of course the greatest one is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1asFeSthWY"]ne jure pas, gros mécréant! - YouTube and the book is great as well

Le trio infernal(drama) la piscine(comedy, crime) Belle de Jour (sexy Catherine Deneuve! <3) Potiche ("The Trophy Wife",funny CD) Bienvenue chez les ch'tis (even funnier: Danny Boon <3 <3) Well, those are the first off the top of my head. Each is enjoybale in its own right. Also, IF you like musicals I could also recommend "8 Women" (with Catherine Deneuve, of course )
Are you familiar with a French actor named Louis Garrel? He's currently the love of my life (oh, how I wish) Some really good movies he's been in: La belle personne Ma mère Les chansons d'amour Dans paris The Dreamers Un été brûlant
ah, I almost forgot the movie C.R.A.Z.Y because I was too caught up in Louis I highly recommend this one though, very beautiful message!
Amelie is one of my favorite movies. Apart from that I also really love a film called La Haine and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet seen it. I recently saw the Intouchables which was surprisingly good, its on Redbox now if anyone is interested in a touching film that will make you laugh.
