the idea of living alone on a plot of land doesnt appeal to me.if i were to provide land do you think you would come and live on it?

the most desirable places to live would be nova scotia or b.c. (nova becuase of cheap land and b.c. becuase its closer to home.)

If you're interested in purchasing land, or contributing to a community owned land purchase, i've been gathering information on establishing a communal living tribe, group, family, whathave you. Core beliefs in preserving natural earth, i.e. organic farming, eco friendly lifestyles, wind/solar power, a place to live in peace, raise a family or find your center. and ofcourse a community working as one to live happily in this twisted world. Please contact me on the forums or at colony1313@yahoo.com . We can change damage done to mother earth, only if we all are one and work together.

    Peace to all,
    Ziggy

that my friend ,for land that is only accessible by boat is expensive in my books .......i am quite familiar with the area ........nothing but rockbound coast for the most part ..75 acres of unfarmable land is of no value to anyone but a tourist....i can get over 100 acres of cut over land here next to a river for $25,000....a bit of clearing and it would be farmable .......it was farmland 50 years ago .........and accessible by road and is only a few miles from the ocean.........way this keeps up i might be rcher than i thought ..........i live on the outskirt of a small town and own 76 acres here .......and i have another 50 acres of uncut land not far from the one i mentioned ...and that one is 6 miles away from me ........but no matter the price i don't have any land for sale

taek a look by bancroft in ontario, I found 73 acres next to crown land with a river running threw it accessable by oly a road allowance for 25 grand,
theres a lot more like that in that perticular area,
the only reason I didnt get it was its next to impossible to get financing for a price so low without buildings alreday on the land and without existing equity.....
    but its there

Sounds like pretty reasonable land prices. Yeah I realise the property that I posted about was boat access only, but still pretty cheap by US or even Alaska standards. Nova Scotia sound like a great place for reasonable land purchases pointed out particularly by your last post. 100 acres for $25K!! And farmable at that! With road access!!!

If there was a chunk of free land out there that welcomed me and my canine companion no doubt I would live there for as long as I could.

my dream is to live on enough land to support myself and whoever wants to live on the land.
i would prefer that we each have our own small house on the lot and have one big living area (equiped with a kitchen area and a living area as well). we could get out electricity from solar panals and we could go to the washroom in an outhouse. the best situation for a tribe, IMO, is if it were on a lake or a river. that would cut down on the expense of water bill.
as for growing food, ive read some articles where people claim to get 3000lbs of food out of an area of 3000sq feet. that means we would realistictly not need very much land to get enough food to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
tell me what you think. :)
