Free Grand Slam

Who went to Dennys today? It was packed here, full of old women and skippers but after we were finally seated it was great food. Can't beat free!

 

there was already a thread about this, but it was several pages too long to hold my interest so i'll humor you and post in this one.

i was not aware that denny's was giving away free food today. although as far as i know, there's not even a denny's in my city, so it wouldn't have mattered if i was aware.

 

Thanks for the humor, my friends dragged me to it but I'm glad I went. I got to go to my favorite music store and free smokes, plus the free meal so I don't mind.

 

It's amusing that transnational food corporations are consistently issuing free food days.

Harvey's did it, Subway is doing it, KFC is doing it, and now Denny's. All to help alleviate the working class and gain back some of the business that they've lost because people are either going hungry or are preparing their meals at home and more affordable prices.

Boycott these initiatives. They just want your consumer buying loyalty.

but if you really want to fuck things up for the corporations, wouldn't it make more sense to participate wholeheartedly in free food day and then boycott ever paying to eat there?

 

No, they ran out of plastic making the bacon so you had to bring your own.

 

No. It makes more sense to step out of a world where the food is kept under a lock and key.

A professor once told me how we know that we aren't in the Westernized world is when the food isn't locked up and secured away, when you can get it from the community or your own garden, when your neighbour brings over a bushel of something or a jar of something.

Corporations give the illusion that the food is ours for the taking.

Fuck you guys there isn't plastic in the food, it the sausage is probably the worst pieces(well all of sausage is) but its tastes yummy. McD is the one putting strange shit in the food.

I know! It is so crazy smoking has been banned in all resteraunts, among other buildings!

I think it was just here. It said on a commercial last night that they were giving everybody in America a free Grand Slam. That reminds meh, Dr.Pepper owes me a free soda, those bastards haven't sent my coupon yet.

 

What happened to having ash treys in store isles and in bowling allies? Now you have to go outside and stand in the snow to get your smoke on.

 

True speak, plus... didn't they used to have designated areas to smoke in resteraunts...?
