If someone had shrooms and started freakin out would it be a good idea to give them a couple of valium pills to knock them out and let them sleep off the trip?
valiums wont put the person to sleep. unless you give them alot. but that isnt a good idea if that person is on shrooms. if they are freaking out give them one at first maybe two. and try talkin them down. the most the valiums will do is maybe lighten the visuals and cut the trip short by a little.
Erowid has your answer. Also, barbituates help to end trips; Xanax is known to help. If someone is freaking out, usually you should let them trip; unless they are seizing or are curled up in a corner/become a danger to themselves or someone else, you could hand them a freshly lit joint and just talk to them and make sure they don't feel like they're alone. If I was tripping hard, I wouldn't want any consoling; but that's just me.

That's highly debatable in medical circles and if you try it, it won't work. At least it never has. Valium will crash the trip but not end it. So will alcohol. Darkness and freindship are the best remedies to a bad trip.
so that's why I had such a bad trip when I tried shrooms in January.......vodka was the first thing available to kill the bad taste. heh, I'm a dumbass!
First time i tried shrooms i had a couple of halfs of vodka with my cousin the drink added to the music put me in an amazin mood i went up to my mates really excited shoutin come on lets get those mushies brewed then i drank the stuff and ended up havin a good but mild trip. it was a mild one coz we didnt have alot of shrooms.
