Okay, here's some back story about what's going on in my life right now. I'm a freshman in college, I live with my parents 15 minutes away from school. I love them, but naturally all we do is bicker, they're very unsupportive...and don't agree with the way I've chosen to live or my plans for the future. I'm moving two states away in may (it's about 10 hours in the car.) to go to school where there's better art and more of my friends. I'm moving in with my best friend. She's like my other half, I love her. I'm straight, she's gay. We've kissed a few times after a night of drinking, but that's it. Okay. Here's my dream. I dreamt that I was packing frantically, and all of the wrong things. Clothes that were inappropriate, kids toys, notebooks that had my writing and artwork in it. I threw the crap into the back of my car and drove away, leaving most of my possessions in my room (which wasn't my current room. It really resembled the office from my childhood home, but it was absolutely overflowing with my stuff.). Okay, so I got to our new place and it turned into a sex dream. About my friend. And we got married later on in the dream and were crazy-happy. That's all I remember... I haven't been able to get this out of my head. I don't know what to think about it.
Sounds like you parent's admonishments are playing out in your head. Leaving all the "important stuff behind" is reinforcing their statements contradicting your decisions, e.g., you are making a rash decision - you are rushing into something no good for you. Moving in with this girl is unhealthy (in their heterosexual world). That you were getting married and "happy" in the marriage is your own mind asserting your affection for the girl. But, beware of any hidden desires on your part with her. You do confess to some attraction with kissing when drunk.
