Okay, so I see a puppy on my back porch... he was wining and looks really skinny (not deadly skinny, but not healthy). I think it is my neighbors dog, I want to return him, but at the same time I hear him wining every night and never see them just let him run around. I've been hoping he got cut loose and escaped, but now that he has and came to my house, well, I dunno what to do with him. :(

I had a stray kitten show up. I had to catch it first because it was wild, but I kept it and fed it a few days. I also medicated it. Sadly I had to take it to the pound because no one seems to want cats.

If the people aren't taking care of the puppy maybe you should find it a new home?

I thought about that. Just don't want the neighbors seeing me with there dog. That could cause some problems.

If you even suspect it belongs to someone living in the area, you should do the responsible thing by returning the animal or inquiring as to its owner [IMG]

Hide it in the house? (I stole my neighbor's dog) It was a cocker spaniel that they kept tied up in the hot sun with no water. I even took all their lost dog signs down. Oh and I found it a good home.

    I can't stand to hear/see animals suffer.

Me neither, I hear him crying all the time and he looks unhealthy. They just tie him up with no running room for the little guy.

Yeah I know. But my neighbors do not deserve to have animals. They tend to put their animals down when they get tired of them. I told them that if I suspect them of hurting animals again I was going to call the humane society.

Yea, I hate that shit. I purposely choose not not to have animals because I know I can not take care of them like I should.

    I don't understand people.

Not sure... it looks like it may have pit in it, but knowing this neighborhood I'm sure it has a little. Everyone thinks they are "ghetto" and "cool" if they own some breed of pit bull.

I had a dream with a million puppies last night!

We have a kitten who comes and steals food from my dog these days.. a little orange kitten. My dad doesn't want another cat.. I wish :(

While you refuse to follow constructive my advice, at least it’s a good thing you found the puppy and not the poster BSR, or we’d all be singing Found a Puppy to the lyrics of Found a Peanut

I'm not sure about the animals protecting laws where you live, but how about just calling your local SPCA branch and letting them know you have found a sickly unknown puppy on your doorstep, etc "and could they please come to investigate?"

This way, the poor little thing will get some assessment of its health and if it is your neighbours', they should have it registered. Then they will get questioned for its poor state of health. If it is not registered and / or claimed within a certain amount of time, then he'llbe put up for adoption with a more worthy owner.

Either way, play it innocent like...you don't know for sure who it really belongs to.

    Just my 2c worth.

I'm sure here, it would be put to sleep since it seems to be a pit. I think I heard them yelling for it... so I let it outside. :(

Oh crap, I feel for you. I rescued a Jack Russell from the side of the road about a month ago, obviously had ran away and was lost. Took him with me to work and called the SPCA. The little guy was microchipped, and so the owners were contacted within 24 hours and Pup was home the next day.

Didn't get a thank you or anything from the owners, but oh well. I was just happy the puppy was back where he belonged.

Some people are ungrateful. Now if this dog was a husky, tough luck for them. haha

    They're so beautiful.
