Simple thread for all those old school songs you loved a long, long time ago and have forgotten, but then you remember, and you listen, and you realize how fresh, or not.. they actually were. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gtffv9bpB-U
It's funny Maynard James Keenan and Danney Carrey from Tool were in Green Jelly. That "Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin" Were Maynard. This was my jam back in the day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBA-xi8WuCU I still know all of the first verse and it still gives me goosebumps. C/S, Rev J
Ahh, Draconian. I had a thing for this group once upon a time, I still think this track is beautiful. Brings me back to my vampire days VvvV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BTllwj3SxY
I always thought that Ugly Kid Joe tune sounded like Mötley Crüe turning into The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I just heard this at Guitar Center today: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K4Dw6q-5iaA I remember being a little skate rat in a small town in Maine and couldn't wait for this video to come on MTV so I could see the skating. Now that I just re watched the video it gives me chills because one of the skaters in it Gator Mark Rogowski who also cuts into the scene with one arched eyebrow who is later seen in the background wearing a beret and dancing with a beautiful blonde girl is now serving time for brutally murdering the blonde girls best friend. Another one of the skaters in that Christian Hosoi ended up doing 4 years in the early 2000s fot trying to smuggle a kilo of meth into Hawaii. C/S, Rev J
Continuing with my Vampire/Gothic days, I also used to be very drawn to this song by CoF. Still hauntingly beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzV1jBAf4Xs
Oh here we go, a classic! I remember I would sit in my room and I would cry when this was on for some reason because it always made me think of my first and only love. I haven't heard this for a long time. High school jazz. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxsCr4uBHWE
^^^ Actually TBH I liked this song, didn't love it so much when it came out. I misread the point of this thread in the OP. I have come to appreciate the song more over time however.
