The forest service has a new plan were they want to turn management of all fedral land parks, forests, mining land the whole bit over to private management or sell it outright because of Bush and his cutting funding for enviromental causes. This is under a bit of legislation called the Federal Lands Reacreation Enhancement Act, theres a sight at "Wild Wilderness Home Page" that it explains it in detail, with a pettion to sign to try and stop these people. If the industrial recreation people get this idea through and legalized there won't be a place to have a gathering. It's part of Bushs idea about privatize everything and anything so eventually everything will be controlled by a small group of greedy jerks like him. Anyhow I hope you'll sign that petiton and maybe they can be stopped because once that land gets privatized will probably never get it back in the hands of the people.
ummmm maybe you oughtta go back to said site and reread the entire thing instead of jumping to conclusions and then posting it in here,,, ,,, if i aint mistaken the article you were speaking of is from 1998 and um well georgie pordgie werent even in office,,, and the onlt petition i saw off hand without going through entire sight was on the fee areas of forest land,,,, ...... now maybe i am wrong here but,,, i will go spend a bit more time just in case....
This might be newer stuff; read something recent on AGR. Anyone interested can e-mail us & we'll forward an e-mail about it
hippiestead your right I just looked back at my e-mail and it did come from arg@welcomehome.org from Karen Zirk on the 7th and 8th and from Quill on the 8th sat and sun. Seems they're slowly tighting the noose while too many folks are watching the Michael Jackson trial and American Ideal on TV. dilligaf I looked at the petition again its near the bottom of the page by the take action sign and the petition when I clicked on it is addressed to G.W. alright, ya gave me a rush there I thought for a minute I was goofin up. So hopefully with love, peace and elbow grease and a few petitions we can help make a better world or at least have fun trying.
