hey all-- is it necessary for the foreskin to retract all the way over the glans when erect? i can retract mine completely when I'm flaccid, but when i'm erect only about a 1/3rd of my glans is revealed and pulling down on the skin starts to hurt. I've got some betamethasone to help maybe loosen it up but being in america i made sure to see a doctor who was foreskin friendly, we'll the doctor was a bit of an activist and i got more trivia about why circumcision is bad rather than info on whether my penis was ok or not. anyway how to you apply the steroid cream anyway? On the tight band Im assuming-- for me that's the left top side of the inner foreskin, i put some on and damn! it was sensitive! Should i just put it on the outside of the foreskin instead or just keep going until the sensitivity goes away. my goal is to have an erection where the skin goes all the way back behind the glans to have more vigorous sex than i presently do (i tend to only stay in missionary position due to the sensitivity), and to mimic a circumcised look, without having to get circumcised (it's big here in america) Thanks for all your help
Although I am opposed to circumcision when done for reasons of culture or religion, I do recognise that there are times when it may become necessary for medical reasons, and this may well be so in your case. What you describe sounds like a phimosis, and depending on the circumstances, it is sometimes possible to get a partial circumcision, which doesn't actual involve the removal of the foreskin, but making a minor slit along the underside. However, only your doctor is able to make a proper diagnosis & advise you on possible treatments.
thanks for the response i've considered it before, but i just can't imagine being circumcised-- even the dorsal slit procedure sounds too painful, and i've been sexually functional, just nothing wild like you would see in porn right now i am using a steroid cream that should loosen it up enough, but i'd be really interested to hear if any one else with an intact penis doesn't have the skin go behind the head during an erection, although that's what i'm told is normal, it doesn't seem to make any sense to me-- but like i said, i live in the states, and i don't got any friends who aren't circumcised to ask
John - you have phimosis, and need to have it attended to. The steroid cream, applied by pulling back the foreskin as far as you can when erect and applying it to the glans and then releasing the foreskin so it spreads naturally underneath. Or you can apply it when you are soft to the underside of the foreskin with your finger or directly to the glans. Do this regularly for a month or two and see if there is improvement. If not, don't go to a doctor who will give you slanted advice regarding circumcision. There are several operations which can be done to improve your phimosis, including a prepucoplasty, which involves slitting the bands in the foreskin without cutting it off, allowing it to become looser and able to be rolled back when erect. Also, there are several types of circumcisions, including a "loose" one, which involves cutting off only the tip of the foreskin if you have a "nozzle" type foreskin with a tip which overhangs the glans. This is what I had done as a baby, and I can still roll my foreskin over the glans entirely when soft and 2/3 over when erect. I masturbate just like an uncut guy, but the remaining foreskin just sits loosely behind the glans when not in use. If you do get an operation, a local anaesthesia on your penis is used, and you feel nothing during the operation, just like filling a cavity. Afterwards, there is a short recovery period, depending on the operation, but if you are n pain at all, the doctor can prescribe painkillers. Get a good doctor to give you all the options given your particular situation.
thanks mate, i've been putting the cream on as far as i can retract comfortably, and so far i have noticed a bit of a difference and it's only been about 4 days, hopefully it'll work i really don't want an operation, i like being intact-- and even if i do have 'phimosis' i'm sexually functional so i don't know how important it is to correct in the first place. but if there's some problem i'll consider a perpuceplasty-- and a low loose circumcision would be the only circumcision i would ever consider, but i rather like having a foreskin, so i want to do all i can to keep it but so far the cream seems to be helping so let's hope for the best! today i almost was able to pull the foreskin back almost the entire way when erect (just a little still too tight to pull over the corona) and like i said it's only been a few days
John - You will enjoy intercourse much more if the foreskin fully retracts. But don't force it - just keep working it for a month or so to see if it gets stretched enough to easily go over the glans when erect. If you get "stretch marks" and breaks in the foreskin as you do this, you are stretching it too much, and too soon. If you must get an operation, don't be traumatized. Modern procedures are very sophisticated, especially in the U.S. Google the operation and see for yourself. And if you must get a loose circumcision, like i have, it is not that bad - I have almost all my foreskin, can masturbate just like you do, and the sex is great. Studies in Africa of men circumcised after an active sex life show that the men find no difference in the sexual enjoyment after they are circumcised, and if you have a premature ejaculation problem, it may improve your sex life. Keep in touch.
thanks for the words of encouragement-- it seems like it's working, still got to give it a good month to really see-- a part that was still adhered to my corona is now completely loose and retractable when flaccid (i was worried i had a skin bridge for a minute there) so things are looking up, but the problem isn't going to be fixed overnight i know that And not to bash circumcision, i just really don't want one, at first being in america i was embarrassed by this fact, but it turns out most my heroes are intact and i believe had great sex lives (for example John Lennon-- whose penis actually looks a lot like mine if you ever saw the famous nude photo of him and yoko, Mick Jagger, Leo DiCaprio, Alan Alda and Elvis Presely-- oddly though Paul McCartney IS circumcised and he's my favorite musician ever) after years of being embarrassed i realized i was in good company and really want to stay this way (plus i've recently embraced my Catholic roots, and that's a no no in that particular religion, not that i have anything against circumcision) But i do want a fully retractible skin as i can tell it poses a little problem during sex, but judging by photos of phimosis i've seen, mine looks a lot better than even the milder cases, so I'm feeling hopeful. Again thanks for the info mates, i really appreciate it
Some years ago I had a cycling accident that involved having to have stitches in my foreskin. Unfortunately, over the years this has resulted in the scar tissue frequently splitting & re-healing. So far I am getting by with the use of steroidal cream, but I have to accept the fact that eventually I'm probably going to have to resort to having a partial circumcision myself, so I know where you're coming from.
that's too bad man, i heard ben affleck had a similar accident and instead of stitching up the skin they circumcised him, and he says that he hates it-- but who knows. it's been one week and noticeable progress has been made-- yesterday i was able to pull my skin over 99% of my head during an erection-- still got a ways to go before that's a natural and loose feeling, but hell i never used to be able to do that before, so I'm feeling hopeful. i actually took a picture of it and it looks like i'm circumcised!! Again thanks for all the advice and empathy guys i appreciate it-- again sorry to hear about your cycling accident, hopefully it'll be resolved to your satisfaction
your heroes? you actually researched whether or not some actors are circumcised or not? wow,,just wow strange do not post pictures of your penis here just send them to the people who will PM you for them
yeah i looked it up years ago when i was feeling rather self conscience about it, thanks dude for reiterating the fact i already know, that i'm strange and i don't want anyone to see the pic of my dick, it was purely for me, so again don't worry i ain't posting it
I've also looked up famous people with anxiety disorders, i have severe panic attacks, but i also aspire to be a musician, it was a great comfort to know that Eric Clapton also has Anxiety Disorder, it's nice to know you're not the only one, and that such things won't stop people from achieving success
good news-- it's been about a month since i started using betamethasone cream and doing the stretching exercises and i'm happy to say my foreskin retracts fully now during an erection! Thanks for the words of advice guys i appreciate it , i've noticed it feels more natural, is easier to clean, and just feels better than it did a month ago-- and it looks like no surgery is necessary, so I'm very happy. again thank you all
Keep retracting with the cream, so it does not revert to prior status. Not often you can have fun while doing something that helps you out medically...
I have betamethasone valerate as well, but regretably it doesn't have that much effect for me. My foreskin is still gradually tightening as it keeps splitting & scar tissue continues to heal.
I will, however so that i don't atrophy my skin i'm taking the next three weeks off from the steroid cream (still stretching everyday though) then will resume after that. The only real problem i seem to be having is that the left dorsal part of the foreskin has a bit of a hard time going over the corona unlike the right dorsal side-- seems that my frenulum isn't short, but it does drift to the left side making it asymmetrical when gliding over the glans during an erection. I will still keep a low and loose circ on the table but if this keeps going well it looks like i may not need it. Again Cutted thank you for your input i greatly appreciate it
Glad to be of help. I advocate circumcision when needed or desired, but there are other ways to skin the cat, so to speak.
