    Hi people,

Now circumcision is no longer standard practice in the US, I think women will see more a varying appearance of penises. Foreskins can be very long (hanging well over the glans), very short (seeming to be completely missing, even when flaccid) and everything in-between.

Apperently most women hardly care about how genitals look like, but for the ones that do, what would be your preference for your sexual partner to have?

For example: "long foreskin but no overhang when flaccid" or "when erect it should have the glans completely bare" or "maybe having the glans always exposed also when flaccid" or even circumcised. I even heard once someone request their partner to keep his foreskin always retracted, so I guess that's also an option.

Please note: this about your preference for a possible partner, not yourself or your actual partner. Also this is not about whether routine circumcision is "right" or "wrong", there are already too much discussions about that topic.

    Thank you for answers!

I love my foreskin I think I'm right in saying it was only done in mass during WW.2 by the yanks to stop there guys getting the clap and less need for penal hygiene, so they was given a circumcision and from there it spread, the only thing is a circumcision is not very vaginal friendly, see the link below.

Interesting reading stuff, but please, as I said, I don't want to turn this into one of the many pro- and con- circumcision discussions.

I don't think that would be possible as its a tricky subject.

We could at least try. Also the main topic is here the length of the foreskin, which already varies greatly naturally, without any cutting it off.

If guys get into penis enlargement, as the penis gets bigger the foreskin stays the same size, so the shaft grows and the skin stays the same size, how do I know? I gained around two inch's but it takes time, its not a quick fix, but it works.

go to www.pegym.com and look around you can join and ask questions or I will answer as best I can, anytime you see NOWHARD its me, I got dumped off there, the owner is a prat.

A lot of it is to do with expanding the holes in the sponge that swells up when we get an erection, you get longer and thicker.

The fact someone actually took the time to actually compile a book amazes me. I’m 53. I’ve been circumcised since I was a day or two old. I’ve never had a complaint. I’ve never desired to be any other way. Both my sons are circumcised. So I guess I’m pro-circumcision. But I actually read something in college (about the only thing I remember!) about how a circumcised penis has less sensitivity in the glans due to no foreskin shielding it from years of underwear, pants, whatever. That, in turn makes it ever-so-minimally less sensitive which supposedly allows for better sex. The thought process was that an uncircumcised man will reach orgasm quicker than a circumcised man.

I’ll leave it at that. The only penis I care about is my own. I love it just the way is. We go everywhere together and have lots of fun.

If that's what you believe then that must be the answer the rest of us are just prat's and no nothing on how it all works.

But what a great pity you never put the whole post as it makes it lop sided.

I was born in 1966. At that time, 20 years after WWII, well over 90% of the country was doing that. I don’t think it has anything to do with WWII. But, since you were so quick to insult my information, I’d love to know where you get your facts from. Actually, I don’t care. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Actually this is almost on-topic :smirk:

It seems that in some men, when the penis starts to grow, around the puberty, the shaft grows more than the foreskin. So these men had a "normal" long foreskin when they were a child and after puberty they have a fairly short foreskin, that only covers a small part of the glans. I think that is an intriguing idea, just like nature has intended it that way; full-blown protection of the glans for the child and an always ready for action model for when the owner is sexually active.

No women? I fear the discussion about circumcision already put most of them off (and I can understand that).

Your find it went up during the second world war as it did for WW 1, in fact guys who wanted to fight had to have the chop, if guys did not have it done you was out. I see from what you wrote you don't much care its about time you did. read this if you dare then.

We get this straight. You’re saying that during World War II, when men went to sign up for the military, they were required to be circumcised? I would love to see anything documenting that.

I suppose if you don't want to be circumcised you could talk to your parents about it before you are born .

They were strongly compelled to be, which is another way of saying that it wasn’t an official written policy that they must be, however it was a generally understood unwritten rule that if you were serving at least in the Army or Marines (where you might be forward deployed) that you would be. There have been numerous testimonies to that documented in both medical journals and by military servicemen at the time.

But consider the timeframe of the early 1940s, what was the big thing going on at that time besides WW2? The Jewish diaspora resulted in Jews constantly being displaced and relocated into other societies struggling to hold on to their cultural identity while avoiding persecution. European Jews during the Holocaust were sometimes identified as Jewish by seeing whether they were circumcised (which only Jews were in Europe at that time). With the influx of Jewish refugees to the United States hoping to escape persecution, and the large percentage of Jews in the medical field, it makes sense that the normalization of circumcision as a standard routine practice would have been promoted. It’s certainly a good way to prevent Jews from being singled out in this way, and indeed any attempts to argue against routine male circumcision have been fought with cries of anti-semetism ever since. I’m not suggesting that the popularity of circumcision in the United States post 1940s is a Jewish conspiracy, but I am saying that the influence of Jewish culture certainly influenced the perception of circumcision as a positive thing and promoted it as a medical practice.

I'm a straight guy so I'd prefer my partner not have a penis! Lol, just had to chime in.

When soft the skin comes almost to the end up the head/top but not all the way.

    when hard it looks circumcised.

my girlfriend once asked if I was circumcised after we had sex because she couldn’t tell.

I don’t like the way circumcision is currently carried out.

a better way would be to teach the boy how to care for and clean his uncircumcised penis and then when he’s 18+ he can decide if he would like to opt for circumcision.

if he’s born with or develops a health issue that requires circumcision before 18 then like anything else look after the boys health.

Interesting (and a bit sad) to see my question/survey turned into another pro/con circumcision debates. I do think it is an interesting topic and I do think it's necessary to have in-depth debates about (in more depth than is usually the case), but can we have it outside this topic please?

The question of this topic is about how women prefer a penis, more precisely the foreskin. It has not really to do with circumcision because lots of uncircumcised have short of very short foreskins that don't cover the glans.

As nearly no women respond, I draw the conclusion that they either (for the vast majority) really don't care or they don't read this subforum (because of lack of interest) or both. Which is a useful result in itself.
