I'm so fucking angry right now. My friend's parents forced her to have an abortion last night. Shae is distraught. Unmarried motherhood is so frowned upon here. Sometimes I hate this fucking country.

That is rough! What about adoption? Do they have adoption agencies and stuff?

Yes, but it is just a taint on the family being pregnant in the first place and the girl will have difficulty ever getting married afterwards.

Her parents are quite hi-so and the guy in question didn't want anything to do with her, but she pulled out of a termination appointment on Saturday 'cos she couldn't do it. Then, she told her parents.

The cynic in me says she was looking to shed the responsibility for the decision and knew what they would do. But I've just spent an hour with her and the cynic in me should learn to shut his mouth. She is completely shattered. FFFUCCCKKK.

That breaks my heart, that is so upsetting to her...but honestly, if she needed to pass some idea of responsibility onto her parents to help her get through this, then its okay you know. Best of love.

Serves to remind us how important bringing a life into this world is...

The question here is how did this situation come about in the first place? Why did the guy do what he did if he wasn't prepared for the possible outcome? Why did she want a kid if it wasn't going to work out?

And most importantly... how exactly does someone "force" an abortion?

she'll be disowned and looked down upon if she had the kid, pretty much forcing the abortion

why do people have sex if they aren't ready for babies? That's a silly question.

    And it's social coercion, elbow.

Incidentally, the opposite happens here. Teenargers forced to carry children because of social stigmas regarding abortion.

That's pretty horrible for your friend red. All the best for her.

which gives her the option to take her life into her own hands and take care of the baby...

" why do people have sex if they aren't ready for babies? That's a silly question.

And it's social coercion, elbow. "

The answer is obvious... yet the problem continues... there should never be an "oops" in regards to a new life in this world...

Its up to the individual to accept or deny societies claims, only a fool accepts anything less than absolute fact as truth.

I'd say at least half of kids were never planned. The worlds much grayer and your analysis is superficial.

I'm sure it's the best for her life, I won't comment on the unborn child's. Anyone under 18 cannot comprehend the effects of their actions when dealing with such a heavy topic, and even most people over 18. They must not fool themselves.

I support forced abortion on people who can't support their future child anyways. Too many fucking people, and the population of the ignorant is growing faster than any other kind of people.

lets see what Red says with regard to how easy it would be for this woman to take her life into her own hands with having this child? how easy her life would be if she - could - choose her own course of life.

its not so easy in other cultures that are different than westernized society.

What happens happens, I just believe in focusing positively about the future and showing love to the people who need it.

Perhaps this is part of why the world is as it is? I can say without a shadow of a doubt that a weak family causes many issues... bringing a kid into a world that thinks he is a mistake the second he pops out isn't exactly gonna set him on a good foot... admitting that half (or at least some very large number) of births take this into account is an extremely significant statement in regard to the state of the world.

Perhaps a change in *why* kids are born is all we need to change the world itself?

Superficial, I'd say much more meaningful than that... :)

It's not particuarlly easy being ostracized by your familly and culture to raise a child by yourself.

I dont think you truly have a good grasp on the reality of humanity. I feel like if you were in a position of power, you would create laws which are suffocating to liberation.
