Alone, or with roommates, or whatever. basically not with your parents.

I need to know how much you pay (per month) on
food and utilities (if you could list like electricity, heat, etc. that would be helpful)

Also please mention how many people you live with...

I need to get a general idea of how much living with 2 others off campus will cost because my mom doesnt believe that living off campus is cheaper than living in the dorms.

My mom and her boyfriend are paying 900 a month for this house and its a big house and there it wouldnnt get you much.

That depends on the people.....
And also the companies and states also....

Some people use more electricity than others and some people eat more than others and some people buy cheap food and some people buy expensive food... it all depends.

well obviously food depends on how much you eat. you could still get a meal plan at your school? you should probably only be buying your own food regardless of how many roomates you have, so you should be able to figure that one out
my GF and i probably spend 2 or 300 on groceries/month

we don't pay for heat (it's included in our rent)
it depends on what type of heat you get - gas, electric
if it's electric, it'd be on the electric bill

electric bill varies each month. 20-60 bucks usually. we don't use a lot though, so it could be higher for 3 people.

water - is also included in my rent, so i guess i'm just as clueless as you are

900 gets you a one bedroom apt in town, the same would get you a 2 bdrm house 40 min north of town from here.

 

Well they pay 900 here and its a four bedroom, 2 and a half baths huge yard front and back living room, kitchen, huge laundry room.

All i need you guys to do is

"i pay x amount per month for heat and I live with two other people in a small house"
or
"my friend has an apartment, i think he pays x amount for electricity"

i just need to get a basic idea, i dont care where you live, i understand that it'll be different per person, i just need some average amount or whatever.
