For those Anti-Earth people who don't believe in Global Warming....

For being a forum on environmental issues, there sure are a lot of people upset with those of us who wish to sustain a habitable planet for future generations. What's with all the refusal to accept that humans DO contribute to environmental degradation? Have any of you anti-Earth people bothered to do your own research instead of constantly refuting the latest scientific research?

See I believe we are doing massive damage, you think we're not. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion whether they are right or wrong. My beliefs, however, aren't causing any long term damage. What if I'm right and global warming is a serious issue that cannot be ignored any longer? What do you plan on telling your kids and grandkids? "Sorry sweetie, Daddy thought it was just the media playing on people's fears". I don't have to worry about that because I recognize the problem.

Conservationists and other scientists trying to educate the general public are doing NOTHING wrong. Conserving for the future is not evil, corrupt, or immoral. It is our responsibility to preserve what we can, while we can. If you are so anti-Earth, then MOVE. Oh wait, that isn't a possibility! So why not try to keep the only home we have in balance? Oh you don't see a change occuring in the world? It's natural? It's what God wants? I noticed quite a few anti-Earth people like to use God as a backup.

Well God helps those that help themselves. And right now this world is waking up and realizing that we are indeed making a serious impact that we may not recover from. Still there will always be those that resist change - whether or not it benefits everyone. But you die hard anti-Earth people don't want to admit it. If Global Warming isn't real, then why is everything "going green"? Why are governments around the world so concerned with it? More importantly, why aren't you? Why do you resent those who want to preserve earth? Why are you so Anti-Earth?

You know, some things exist whether you believe in them or not.

 

Its only the US that doesn't believe its happening. We're the only country in the world actually who won't admit it. There is scientific proof so if they don't believe then they're morons. People that don't believe in science are obviously insane - I believe in things that there is proof of.

 

The hardcore scientific evidence shows that humans are not causing global warming. Studies show that CO2 lags behind temperture increase by 800 years, proving that CO2 levels rise with temperature increase and not the other way around. It is part of a cycle that has occurred many times over the course of Earth's long history.

The UN's much vaunted report by the IPCC is heralded as proving the case of humans being the primary cause of global warming. But the fact is that the IPCC is a political -- not scientific -- organization, and likewise, the IPCC's "conclusion" was politically-driven and all dissenting scientists were deliberately censored while still being listed as participants. Many of these scientists are seeking legal action to have their names removed from the report.

I have less concern about global warming than I do the government, which wants to use global warming to push a fascistic agenda and exercise more control over the people in the name of "saving the environment." That's what this hype is really all about. It has nothing to do with the environment at all, but it's good for getting the people behind their agenda, thinking it's in their best interests. Most people never question this, though, because unlike global warming propaganda and fear-mongering, it's not being shoved in their faces 24/7 by the mainstream media, as is the case with global warming.

I am all for the FREE ENERGY technology that does exist, that would rid us from our dependence on oil tomorrow. Unfortunately, the powers that be, which have a huge monopoly built on oil, want to keep this technology from the people, while giving us less-than-efficient alternatives that are deliberately bound to fail. This is why the man who invented an electric car fueled by water, which got 100 miles to the gallon, was found dead the day after showing off his invention by driving it across the desert.

It's really quite amazing how some of you have been so conditioned by all this global warming hype and incessant media-promoted fear mongering, that you will put all your energy into worrying about something that has happened naturally over the course of billlions of years. But when the president signs an executive order making him an official dictator in the event of an emergency, there is almost no outcry. That's because many of you are followers, not thinkers, and whatever the media says is what your reality becomes. Whatever the media ignores, you ignore because you are too lazy and apathetic to dig for the truth. You depend on a controlled corporate media and political frauds like Al Gore to deliver your version of "truth." And you buy into it hook, line and sinker.

Because there is something more than meets the eye, and it isn't a bunch of eco-conscious, war-mongering, eugenics-promoting rich men who want to save humanity from the scourge of "manmade" global warming. If people were more informed, they would understand the psychology behind it. Most people get all their news from the controlled corporate media (and establishment shills like Al Gore), so it makes sense why they believe some of the rubbish they do without ever questioning it.

 

Green is the new term for people to make you feel guilty if you dont buy there products and services. Hell this thread is a sham alone becuase your using a computer filled with parts that the construction does drastic damage to the enviroment so seems we are all here for our own fun to take our own little chunk out of the world. So I suppose we need to yell out "GO PLANET DESTRUCTION!"

I'm still going with my theory that if the government can tell everyone that global warming is true from soley vechile CO2 production then they can literally control the minds of billions. Check out the movie Great Global Warming Swindel on google or youtube, it'll tell you REAL scientific evidence, showing that actually CO2 production is mainly from volcanoes and that vechiles make up barely any amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Also for centuries we have seen huge increases and decreases in temperature, the world fluctuates, we are just in another time of its natural warming. Years in the future it'll start to cool again. Its just what it does. Every teacher in my science hall way that I've talked to about Global Warming thinks its fake and they have facts showing that this is just a natural process. I would think teachers would feed you exactly what is in the text books and try to brainwash you into thinking what is presented to you by the Mass Media, but in reality they know that there is more to temperature rise then just from our vechiles.

 

I've addressed this in other posts and for this post I will simply say:

Live and Let Live.... You do your think the protect the environment and I'll do mine. It's not a fact of if Global Warming is real or not, the point is we should all do what we can to fix it. If Global Warming is out to get us it will be a slim chance that we will be able to fight back.

 

Yes I know I use fossil fuels, I have openly admitted that I am not perfect on other threads. But I have a problem with those of you who refuse to take any responsibility for our impact on earth. What you're telling me is that what you do makes NO difference what-so-ever, that can't be true. Everytime you wipe your butt, it came from a tree. (unless you use toilet paper made from recycled paper products, but still it came from a tree somewhere).

And you're right computers use a lot of energy! I totally agree with everyone on that one. I also agree that the earth warms and cools naturally, but I have to believe that over 6 billion people have to be contributing. No we can't control Mother Earth but we can sure give a push in the wrong direction for sustainability. And that's how I view negative responses to Global warming being real. It's not a bad thing to recycle, reduce or reuse!!

I agree Free energy sources would be the best route to save the planet. Who doesn't want to save money?

Simply because there is an alternative competing theory does not make the consensus false since the evidence was arrived at by several methods anyway including direct observation of thousands of phenomena - instrumentation readings and theoretical modelling, by many thousands of trained scientists at the forefront of their body of work !

listen, i don't buy global warming as a completely man-made deal. i don't for one moment believe there's a scientific concensus on the cause of it. but that doesn't matter to me. wantonly abusing and exploiting natural resources, trashing out your environment and the things crucial for your continued survival and quality of life for money and laziness is ass backwards. it's brain dead stupid.

 

maybe its you who hasn't done their research. I have looked up both views on global warming and I quite frankly agree with Pressed Rat. You think its just some conspiracy theory, well look it up then, show us what the truth is if you know exactly what it is.

 

Piss on global warming people need to start learning to make changes just for the simple idea of saving things period. Why plastic bag items that can break down and build better soil. Why drive 2 or 3 blocks to the store every day when a weekly trip is better and a walk can fill in the blanks. Utilize used materials when you can. Instead of lawnmowers for each buy and share. Well hell we could go on and on but yeah just do what ya can to assist saving resources for others.

It has been happening for the last couple of billion years... just like global cooling has.

Is it a major issue? No.

Whether global warming is true or not, it is only part of the problem of air pollution. Does anybody believe that air pollution isn't real and a problem? Try huffing a cars tail pipe for a few minutes and see if you doesn't kill you (don't try this, it will kill you). Is it not common sense, not to make toxic, the air everyone has to breath by pumping all manner of pollutants into it.

 

Oh, I don't doubt humans are doing damage and polluting the earth. This is obvious. Most of this damage has been caused by the big multinational corporations and their Elite owners who want to now place the blame on joe public and reengineer society to fit their fascist agenda.

However, let us not digress. This is about global warming, which centers around the greenhouse gas called carbon dioxide, and how global warming is being used to forward an agenda that in fact has nothing to do with global warming at all. There are different forms of pollution, but CO2 emissions are not among them. A single volcano produces more CO2 than all the cars on Earth combined. Carbon dioxide is vital to life on this planet.

If people want to help the environment, there are things they can do themselves and at a local level. Depending on the federal government to solve the problem is useless, because their intentions are always far different than the public is made to believe.

So who are we at this time and age to decide that the current atmosphere is the one worth saving? Isn't that a bit arrogant of us? Why not revert back to the sulfur filled atmosphere of the earth's beginnings if we want to "correct" the atmosphere? Let life start all over.

How do we know that a warmer atmosphere would not be better for humankind as a whole?

So what that the atmosphere is changing. You can't guarantee me that the change is bad, only that its different.
