Hmm, I probably should have come here first, but my tendency is to lurk for awhile, then just dive in.

Anyway, belated intro: Hi there, I'm Lara, aka the artful_dodger, aka MsRetro (on many other forums, but not here). I have two daughters: Allie, 7 and Jenna, 5.

I've lived in Florida for about ten years. I'm back in school finishing a degree in journalism. I'm also a freelance writer, eBay seller, stage-hand (well, hopefully... there's a gig on Sunday that I may be able to get in on) and occasional art model. Basically, I'll take most work that isn't a job.

For fun, I write, crochet, sew, and do other crafty stuff. I'm pretty politically and socially active, mostly through work with my local IndyMedia.
