I am actually very curious to see what kinds of foods people do not like to eat at all..... For me, it would have to be spaghetti. I try and avoid it at all cost, although I would eat it if I was starving and out of other options.
cottage cheese. many other types of cheese, just dont like it. big mac .. the thought of a big mac makes me want to uke:
I haven't had a big mac in years. I love big macs, I just can't eat them. They literally re-appear on my ass the next day, and at thirty years old, the damage just ain't worth it. bahahahaha
From purely a health perspective... Bread, pasta, grains/wheat, soy, sweets, factory-farmed meat, factory-farmed dairy and eggs, farmed fish, gluten-containing foods, foods high in omega-6 polyunsaturated fats... junk food in general I do not touch. This includes all processed, high-glycemic carbs. I pretty much never cheat, even though I don't think it hurts (rather it can help) to indulge in bad foods occasionally, as long as you're on target 90% of the time. I personally prefer to stick to clean eating. Foods I never like to eat because of the taste? Licorice comes to mind immediately. Anchovies make me gag, but I love sardines. I have also never liked olives, though they are a great source of healthy fat and I wish I could like them.
I don't like pickles. Olives (very recognizable Rat I also wish I could like them). Anchovies neither now that I think of it. I also don't like some sweet stuff like caramel. I also am not really fond of cooked spaghetti. But I can quite enjoy the leftovers baked in the frying pan. Hey Rat, just wondering if you get the munchies and want to fill up on something, what do you go for? Or, if you have iron discipline, what would you go for? I sometimes go for nuts and stuff (also macadamias) but really you don't wanna eat too much of that in one session.
Yeah, I have a lot of discipline. I have goals as far as getting down to a certain body fat percentage, so I really have to pay close attention to the overall amount of calories I eat. Lately I have been eating around 1,900-2,200 calories a day. Munchies are pretty much out of the question most days, though I allow myself a free day once a week where I pretty much eat as much as I want (within limits -- usually 3,000 calories). Macadamias are great and very healthy, but it's very easy to overdo it eating them if you're trying to really get lean because they are very calorie dense and easy to overeat.
iceberg lettuce. Such a pointless food and what's up with restaurants charging $12 for a wedge of it? other than that I'm not picky
lima beans....bunches of slithery cooked onions.....they are ok...just not in bunches. I love raw onions....especially red ones.....pearl creamed onions...no thank you. ranch dressing margarine sour cream in a large amount. I am sure there are other things i am not fond of. If I think of more foods...I will be back to this thread.
What DO you like to eat, rat? I am asking because you seem like a fitness/health nut, and I wouldn't mind adding a few new and healthy ideas to my diet. I find it so hard to eat healthy every single day.
Isn't any lettuce kind of pointless in terms of nutrition? It's mostly water. And if its not organic quite possibly even unhealthy for you That being said I can munch a pile of fresh crispy iceberg lettuce away in no time edit: it's my fav I guess because it's so crispy.
Lettuce in general, most of the stuff we buy at supermarkets have no nutrients When you said pointless food, I first thought of Tofu, like eating a hot wet sponge
all seafood except English style halibut.....fish grosses me out the door.........anything hot hot spicy....no matter what it is.....don't ruin it with franks hot sauce... my words....I hate to eat my words
i like almost all food. except beets. i don't mind chocolate, but i do find it to be by far the most overrated thing on the planet, food or otherwise.
