Advocates of fluoridated water insist that the chemical additive is good for teeth, but actual science routinely shows otherwise, including a new study published in the Journal of the American Dental Association confirming fluoride as a toxic substance that actually destroys teeth, particularly those of developing young children and babies. http://www.naturalnews.com/030123_fluoride_babies.html
What is a mother to do? Well, to begin with, those mother f 'ers can stop putting--oh, ooooh, you mean the mothers of the children getting fluoridated. I thought you were asking about the mothers who do the fluoridating. My bad.
Tom's of Maine makes fluoride-free toothpaste, and, as far as I know, you can find it in pretty much any grocery store.
It gives me a sickening reminder that my moved from a town that banned fluoride in tap water, to a city that embraces it.
One final nail in the fluoride advocate's coffin: Sorry about the small font, but this if from a pdf document. WATER FLUORIDATION AND TOOTH DECAY: RESULTS FROM THE 1966-1987 NATIONAL SURVEY OF U.S. SCHOOLCHILDREN: It has become widely accepted among dental and public health professionals that fluoridation reduces tooth decay by one-half to trvo-thirds (1,2). However, recent studies by public health dentists in New Zealand, Canada and the United States have reported similar or lower tooth decay rates in nonfluoridated areas as compared to fluoridated areas (3-6). Moreover findings in the United States and worldwide show that, over the last 25 years, reductions in tooth decay rates in nonfluoridated areas are comparable to thosein fluoridated areas. Materials and Methods: Through the United States Freedom of Information Act, we obtained a printout of the dental records and a list of the 84 areas used in this survey. From these data, we calculated the number of decayed and filled deciduous teeth (dft) and the number of decayed, missing, and filled permanent teeth (DMFT) for each record and entered the resulting data into a computer. All calculations were triple-checked before being entered into the computer andall computer entries were double-checked. http://www.fluorideresearch.org/232/files/FJ1990_v23_n2_p055-067.pdf
i was given fluoride tablets daily as a child ....prescribed by a dentist.....im amazed at the way "specialists" think that the only important area in the body is a the area they deal with. like who cares if you get sick or die...your teeth will look good...and now the evidence is to the opposite .this was and is just terrible....i do not have any idea how flouride got into the water system of some countries....why not vitimin c or even multi vitamins...interesting industrial politics

it makes the water taste like shit too. yah its ok in toothpaste, its when the city dumps it by the ton into the domestic water supply. some dentists association of something that claimed to be, talked a lot of cities into doing that in the early fifties. wonder what other things the foul taste of it was hiding. or maybe it helped a lot of people become alky's so they wouldn't have to drink the water.
