i really want to get a tube for my ear...probably just the smallest one to start, they look so pretty! seriously thou, how much does it hurt to stretch?? i havnt got my ears pierced at all at the moment, coz just studs and that never have appealed to me, but wud love a tube. but im a proper wimp! need reassurance its not gonna be too painful. lol.
My friend had that. He said it is all in your head. But, ask as each persons lobe is different. His were fairly large. So, streching them was not an issue. If yours are thin then you might have a few more issues. Plus a whole lot of pain.
It actually doesn't hurt at all if you do it properly. I have one at 12mm and one at 2mm. The trick is to do it really slowly, and don't rush it! Of course, you MUST start small, or you'll rip your lobe apart I started with just putting extra earings in my ear (because i couldn't afford proper stratchers!) then i got two little 2.5mm stretchers and gradually put them in, after a shower so the ears wet. Maybe add a little bit of vaseline, then gently twist it in. Only push it as much as you can take it, if it hurts too much, youre going too fast! You should only go up about 2mm at most at one time. Hope this helps, im not a professional, im just talking about my personal experience if you want professional help ask the people in the shop that you get the stretchers from.
I've only just started doing mine. You can start with just thicker earring then tapers are amazing, I'm going up a stretch tonight, going to be at 2.6mm
thanks guys. would u all advise me to get my ears peirced....just standard stud holes first then and then make the leap to stretching. ny, what are tapers? sorry to be slow.
Look like that, basically they go from the size you are up to the next size and you push them through your ear. Get your ears pierced and make sure they're healed as they can be before you start stretching, so at least 6 weeks. I can probably send you a 1.6mm hoop and a 2.6mm taper when I'm done with them if you wanted (I'd steralise them of course as not to be gross)
ny, that wud b great. thanks. i do not what they are now i see the pics. thats how i thought going about stretching. well i better find sumwhere to get my ears pierced first then. is a sterlised needle better than the guns some market merchants use? im sure they were illegal or sumat
I got mine pierced with a gun twice now and they've been OK, needled piercings are a bit kinder on your ears though due to the fact there's no shooting of blunt objects through them
if your in a hurry to get a larger gauge than a normal piercing, I would go to an actual piercing place and get pierced at a large gauge. Thats what I did, it hurts alot, but it saves you alot of time and money. Since you dont have to worry about waiting for every stretch to heal, and buy the tapers and jewlery for each size.
Just keep in mind that if you get your ears pierced then you have to wait until they are totally healed, then you can start stretching.
I dont know what size you plan on reaching but getting your ears pierced say @ an 8g or so takes a out a valuable chunk of your earlobe. The more flesh you have on your lobe, the farther you can stretch. And like sarahrei said, you have to wait until your ears heal COMPLETELY , otherwise you could end up with massive scar tissue. just food for thought
thanks guys for your advice. i think i will wait until everythings sound and they are healed before i start....im in no rush really so thats fine
Large gauge piercings do not necessarily remove skit from your earlobe, when it is done with just a large piercing needle then it cuts a slit into your ear, not actually removing skin. And i wasn't condoning stretching before your lobes are healed, its just that a large gauge piercing will heal at about the same as a regular one, but you don't need to take the month healing time between every step from 12g to the size you were going to start at.
????.....most of that is not correct.... before you stretch your ears to ANY size, your body has to completely form a fistula, other wise if you dont wait, scar tissue will occur. I have been on my journey for almost 7 years now and was considered for an apprenticeship to a well known piercer in NYC. I've workedclosely and personally with suspension groups/hooksquads in the area and because of them, I have learned the proper ways of suspension, body modifications and piercing. I do know what I am talking about, I'm not just blowing smoke.
Same here, except I was apprentice under the man known as the godfather of piercing in New Zealand lol Larger gauge piercing doesnt remove skin as Nick said, but it can be detrimental to larger stretching, although it seems OP isnt concerned with going really large. Ive known people to get pierced at 6ga with an instant stretch to 4ga, and go on to be over 1 1/2" with no worries. Same as people having their lobe scalpeled to 00ga and continue to stretch to more than twice that with no problems.
