Hey, I have an eclipse tank ( 6 gal) and I dont know how long to leave the attached light on for. I have your standard goldfish inside of the tank and I dont wanna give it too much nor too little light. Note: the room is relatively bright.

About when should i turn it on/ off and also im assuming I turn it off at night- but should I leave any light on- at least slightly???

Just turn it on when you wake up in the morning, and turn it off again when you go to bed, or at least, when you should be going to bed (pro'lly at nine or so...)

It's not really a big deal to the fish how much light it gets. The lights on fishtanks are more to keep any plants you have in them alive than it is for the fishies.

Hey,I love my axalotles but it doesnt worry them how long the light is on. I ussually turn it on at about 8am and turn it off at 9pm. But it doesnt really effect them.
Ur goldfish will b swimmn their little hearts out for a while yet/their hardy little buggers
