Hi, I'm new to the forums, and as you can probably deduce from my name, I am a budding psychonaut. I'm a psychology major in my third year and loving it. I have recently become very interested in exploring other areas of the human psyche and new states of consciousness. However, the only drug I have any real experience with is marijuana. I have been toying with the idea of purchasing and trying psychedelic drugs for the first time. I know I want to do it, just not sure where to begin. I want to do either LSD or shrooms. Because shrooms are usually more tame than LSD, they might be a better choice for a first trip. However, LSD is much cheaper and packs more of a punch. I have connections to both substances, but the thing is I don't have many friends who condone this sort of activity, and those I do have live at least an hour away so I don't see them too often. Because of this, I will probably spend my first trip alone meditating, listening to music, and enjoying nature. Is taking your first trip without a sitter a wise decision, or should I wait until I can get a sitter? Also, is LSD too intense for a first time tripper? Thanks in advance for the advice! Peace
It would be wise to have a sitter. Try a low dose if you do end up doing it on your own and I do recommend doing mushrooms first. A gram or two should send you on your way to being a Psychonaut. And welcome to the forums.
