Yo, i have this friend who is having this huge rave type party, and her brother, girlfriend and me are pretty tight. We were thinking of taking some Ecstacy. Now i've never tripped or done anything like it before. I've snorted riddlin, done vicidin and of course, smoke marijuanna, but, i really think this is going to be a good time. Is there anything i should keep in mind? i have some questions too... * how long do your E trips last? * how long does it take to kick in? * what is it like? * what should i do when i'm on it (recreational activities) * Will i need tons of water and stuff? thanks -wil
The duration of the trip depends on the substance that´s in your pill(s) (MDMA, MDA, MBDB, BDB, MMDA), but in general, an E trip should last for 4-8 hours. Normally it takes 20-60 mins. to kick in, but that also depends on the basic activity of your body and on how much time it is after your last meal (I normally don´t eat for at least 12 hours before doing E). And: Yes, you´ll need lots of water (or juice or sth. like that; don´t use Cola or any similar stuff, because the sugar will speed up the elimination of the E from your body). Make yourself a plan (e.g. 1 liter of water every hour), because when you´re on E, you´ll very easily forget, that you have to drink! Recreational activities: you should prepare yourself with lots of good music (and do it before you start) and a collection of interesting pictures to look at, I personally prefer H.R.Giger (creator of the "Alien"). But the most important thing to prepare for your trip: get yourself a "sitter", that is a person who stays sober and is able to watch over you. Best thing would be a sitter who has already done E, so he knows, what´s going on with you. And you should trust your sitter, because under E you might be speaking about very personal topics; so make sure, that you can tell them to a person, who won´t spread around everything he heard. And what is it like: well, there´s been written so much on that question, it´s almost impossible to answer that question in some short sentences. But from your quetions I can see very clearly, that you haven´t done enough research on E so far. Please prepare yourself better before starting the experience. the flow is totally right. i was nervous the first time i rolled, and E can be a little speedy, so try to mellow out. it'll take about an hour at the longest to kick in. the come-up can be a little uncomfortable (can make you a little antsy), but once you're rolling, it's an amazing feeling, and a very distinctive one too. it's easiest to explain if you can compare it to acid, but since you said you've never tripped, i can't help ya there. depending on how much you take, you may or may not need a sober sitter. if you just take one pill, then it's most likely you'll be fine if you keep pretty mellow (go for walks and explore your surroundings, talk to people, listen to music, dance). a rave might be a little intense for your first time, but if you have a good attitude and good friends, you'll have a blast. just drink plenty of water when you feel a little buggy and dehydrated. enjoy!

Man your so lucky to have raves going on in your neck of the woods. Where I'm from there is no such thing. Just parties on the beach where everyone gets drunk then gets into fights (so lame.)

Buy some salty pretzels or something salty because you will sweet aout all the salt in ur body and that is not a good thing.
