https://phys.org/news/2021-05-vandenberg-air-base-renamed-space.html Donald Duck impressed the pentagon so much, they've decided to immortalize him as the father of the US Space Force. As a former president, you might think he'd want to attend the ceremony.
Knowing what's his name, he'll probably try to sue the Space Force for unauthorized use of his name, try to make some money.
Knowing Donald Duck, he'll insist that he owns all the franchise rights, and can sell toy rockets at the gate.
That's pretty cool, but I don't know if Vandenburg had much to do with the space program. Perhaps they can rename it at some point.
Vandenburg is where the guys with the right stuff test experimental aircraft, and is their own version of NASA. I'd be quite surprised if NASA doesn't have their own spaces there and work with them. For example, on other military bases NASA has wind tunnels and other equipment they operate in conjunction with the military. NASA is first and foremost a military organization, that merely hires more civilians than most and tries to pretend they serve the public.
