I'm Sure A Few Of You Would Remember A Post I Made On Here Where I Said I Was Proud Of The Fact I Was Living My Life Out Of The Mainstream. In It I Said, That If Anybody Ever Saw Me Stepping Out Of A Beige Camry, Wearing Slip On Loafers, Pleated Slacks, A Beige Cardigan, With A Conservative Hair Style, Then SHOOT ME, Because I Have Clearly Lost The Plot.... Well Gentle Readers I Had To Take My Car To A Workshop Early This Morning And They Said It Would Not Be Ready For 5 Hours, So Tis Our Pleasure To Give You A "Loan Car". And Guess What That Loan Car Was, Yes, A BLOODY CAMRY...:bigcry:. Fortunatly It Has Very Dark Tinted Windows And All The Way Home I Drove Crouched Down With Just My Two Beady Eyes Peering Over The Steering Wheel. I'm Truly Torn Between Laughing Or Hysterical Tears... Just In Case You Didn't Know, Both BBAD And SKIP Drive Toyota Camrys, So If You Don't Hear From GLEN Again You Will Know What Happened To Him... Cheers Glen.
You got the good one,GLEN. It got you all the way home without the transmission failing, the oil sludging,or the fuel pump packing up....it LIKES you!
i don't know much about camry's, nor care much about them, one way or the other, other then the ones you take pichers with. sorry about that. but i know its a car and i'm pretty sure its made general motors, who are good at making railway locomotives also and i rather wish they'd make my solar charged, battery powered, narrow gauge ones. they also make rather nice public transit buses, or at least the guts of them. although i think most of the carriage work these days is made by others. at any rate these are my primary mode, and i feel rather good about not indenturing myself to personal transportation, other then being largely confined to over populated places by my lack of owning one.
ah. toe yoa TAH. much better trains. narrow gauge multiple units. over in japan. er so, what's the big deal about not wanting to be seen getting out of one of them, as opposed to what? a chevy pickup? my dad back in the 70s drove several nissan products. mostly the little pickups and the jeep like "patrol". don't think we ever had the toyota ones. trains rule, cars drool. yes i'm hopeless.
Because Over The Years They Have Been Seen As The Perfect Conservative Car For Retirees Who's Code Of Dress And Behaviour Is Just Not Me.... Similar Could Be Said For The Benz I Bought That Only The Older Set Drives One, And Even When I First Bought It People Said That I Needed To Dress And Act Like A Gentleman, But In The First Week Of Ownership I Blew That Notion Clear Out Of The Water.... I Had It Lowered All Round As Far As Was Legal. Fitted A 750 Watt RMS Stereo With 5 Amps And Two 15 Inch Subs In The Trunk.... Ripped Off The Exhaust And Fitted A 2 1/2 Inch Sports System. Tinted The Windows. Custom Number Plates. Imported A Grill From A Model That Was Never Sold In OZ. Fitted Wide Mag Wheels Even Though It Came With Factory Mags. Add To This My Personal Appearance Is Just A Tad Different To Most Peeps, And It Becomes Obvious GLEN Could Never Be Seen Driving A Beige Camry.... Cheers Glen.
i can appreciate the effort, but its still a CAR. also lowered means you're stuck with ware the pavement goes. might as well be on rails. beige is certainly a problem though. needs to be something like lime green or pumpkin orange. i had a beige hornet once. the wagon version of the grimster. now maybe a morris migit pulling a tierdrop trailer, or an extra longbed cargo type van. with a secret laboratory in the back with internet connnections to several alien worlds. and waren hubs, bardon bumper and pto wench. then agian, i AM the "older set". just not THAT older set. the OTHER older set, that this place started out to be about.
Glen tell me where you live Im going to come down there and give you a conservative style hair cut while you sleep. SELL OUT
camrys are for the sheeple. drive a subaru like my 99 SUS! or the mazda 626 i used to have. Both are camry clones only better. (except the 626 transmission and the subaru HG)
