Yes, the fundie wackjobs are accusing Spongebob Squarepants of pushing a "Gay Agenda" on impressionable preschoolers!

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4190699.stm

Personally, I want "Focus on the Family" to look into that whole "Dora the Explorer" thing. Dora seems WAY too friendly with her cousin Diego, not to mention her pet monkey "Boots"! Incest and Bestiality right there in front of 2 year olds! The horror of it all! And don't get me started about Bert and Ernie! Promoting the homosexual lifestyle for YEARS! :)

These fundie twits need to focus on their own damned families, and stop with the sexual obsession with kiddie cartoon shows....:(

These people are such assholes. Sure they have the right to think what they do the only problem is they try to spread their thinking to everyfuckin body. I see shit like this on their website and I just wanna hack 'em with porn and naughty cuss words.

Instead, I'll let Karma deal with them in the end their greedy and selfishly narrow actions will come back to bite them HARD. Until then, I laugh at them and their silliness. They need hobbies, me thinks.

LMAO honestly that is so stupid.

Actually it's really quite sad that people can be such neurotic kill joys. Even if they were right, which is unlikely. Then children that age wouldn't even notice (I had a lesbian teacher when I was ten, never realised until being told outright some years later)

What's wrong with a gay agenda anyway. Just shows it's a natural part of society. As for brainwashing; err pot, kettle, black. Of course they aren't manipulative children in to becoming little homophobes.

    Totally agree with Urbangal :)

They're so paranoid about it! According to them, the media is trying to trick their kids into being gay. Um, I think the gay community has better things to do with their time than tricking people into becoming gay. Like, say, getting rights and stuff.

its the same with winnie the pooh carictors & how people think they have psycological illnesses, you know. i just think ffs leave kids cartoons alone, thats all they are kids cartoons, for kids to make there own minds up on the carictors. why does everything have to be about sexuality now days!

Haha well said TerrapinRose! This is so sad...kids just wanna have a good time. SpongeBob is gay? SpongeBob is a SPONGE - who says he even HAS a sexuality? But so what if he's gay? Educating kids about different kinds of sexuality can only help, it will help stop homophobia and tragedies like Matthew Sheppard. Good for Bob if he's gay...and personally I think TinkyWinky's handbag suits him.

Dora is a little Mexican girl. She hangs out with a monkey, Boots and some other little critters. Sometimes her cousin Diego comes around. She uses "the map" to find directions and her "backpack" contains everything she ever needs. The best part of her is that she speaks Spanish. Helps kids get an intro into another language. She's one of the few programs we let Dakota watch.

Little kids are going to have no idea whether or not a yellow sponge is "gay" or not. Honestly, who cares. They're fricken cartoons for god's sake.

Its amazing how this seems to ratle them yet the stoned rabbit on Magic roundabout never did..... and george in Rainbow was incredibly camp and always making sexual inuendos.... *shrug* if anything they should be looking at soap opperas and kids shows and cutting down all the fashionable teenage pregnancies and under age sex stuff thats going on. Hey i dont mind having sex before age 16 but when 13 years olds see other 13 year olds with babys on their favorite soap opera ... well thats not a good impression.

well I think they have somewhat of a point. Ive heard people say "what about family guy, the simpsons and south park?" parents know not to let children watch those cartoons, because they are very adult orientated. south park would be terrible to let any child watch. just for the language alone. those are adult orientated cartoons.

these right wingers are attacking cartoons on children friendly networks like pbs and nickelodeon. Ive watched quite a few spongebob cartoons, and Ive seen a couple of them that were very gay orientated. I doubt kids, though, would actually understand the gay themes behind those episodes though. when I was a kid, I watched he-man. and when I got older and saw a few clips, I thought to myself, wow this cartoon is/was very ambiguously gay. but, as a kid, you dont think of it as that. And it doesnt brainwash kids. kids know that they are gay because they have feelings for other kids of the same sex, its something you are born with. not what some damn cartoon said.... I do think little kids should be kept away from spongebob though. some of the themes are a bit adult orientated to say the least.

the episode I had seen which was really gay orientated was one in which gary left spongebob to live with patrick. the whole thing was about patrick telling spongebob that gary wants to live with him now. so spongebob tries to get another snail pet, but that snail was mean and it treated him bad...... but then in the end, spongebob found out that gary didnt really like patrick, he was just after a piece of candy that patrick had in his shorts. Even spongebob said "he didnt like you patrick, he just wanted to get into your pants." I about gasped.
