So I met a really nice guy at a party; we slept together, with no protection. He had only had sex with one girl before me and had no symptoms... Stupid nevertheless; we´re kinda dating now and he is really nice, but any guy could say that he´d just slept with one girl before and lie about it. (Use protection!) I met him again 3 days later, we had sex but something felt weird. I felt stinging, itching and a burning sensation. The next day there where some blisters, and then it just got worse. I had a very high fever and felt horrible. Besides the fever; I now have an agonizing pain in my "lower regions". It doesn't matter if I sit, lie down or stand. Last night I slept 3h at the most, because I couldn't stand the pain. I am afraid to drink water because it hurts so incredibly much to pee. I have never felt any kind of pain like this. It is incredibly devastating; the thought of having to spend just one more day like this makes me considering drinking till I pass out every day until its gone. I got a prescription drug that is supposed to minimize the days of this outbreak, and I have a local anesthetic that helps. But I´ve already used the anesthetic 5 times today, you´re supposed to use it 4 times a day at the most. I think because it dries out the skin, at least thats what it feels like now. If I can sleep tonight, It´ll be the biggest gift from the universe I could possibly imagine right now. And If I could just wake up tomorrow, and feel a little less pain; I would probably cry tears of joy. I mean, really. The pain; I can't stop pointing out how much it hurts. I am not at all angry with the guy who gave me herpes, he did not know he had it. Here in Sweden, a third of our population has the genital herpes-virus; and about 60% don't know that they have it. I am not that psychologically chocked with the fact that I now have a virus that I´ll have for the rest of my life. But my subconsciousness will probably have a lot to deal with the next few days. But in the future, I will NEVER have unprotected sex again; and I will always tell future partners about the virus. Please share if you´ve been infected with herpes, and how you dealt with the first outbreak, how it has affected your life and other thoughts! I´ll keep ju updated with my outbreak. I think It´s been 7 days since the first symptoms, but only 2 days with severe pain. It gets better; I know it!!! Stay strong and love on
Yes I imagine the genital(simplex 2) version has to be quite paiful. I have the oral(simplex 1) and it can be very bad as well. I have been married 25 years and have had the virus since i was a teen before meeting my wife. I never even knew who I caught it from....possibly just making out in high school with some girl. I avoid any contact while having an outbreak with wife and she has never caught it from me. I take valtrex(by prescription) at the first sign of an outbreak and it reduces the length tremendously, but you have to hit it early.
One thing I was told was upon first relization of outbreak take 4 Valtrex at once. then 1 morning and night. Its safe to do so and works like magic.
Really? The dosing on my Valtrex prescription said 1 pill-- 3 times a day for 7 days. Then when they switched me to Acyclovir(providers choice) it was 2 every four hours during day for 5 days. Either way we shouldn't be talking dosing....she should see a Dr. and get a script for herself....it really cuts down on the length and severity of the outbreak.
oh man Im so sorry, that is horrible! Id really hate it if someone lied to me or didnt know and I caught that.
I could be full of shit, I know it's bad and all, but that sounds like it might be something else. I don'd think you should have showed symptoms for more like 3 weeks, for teh herps...... Maybe just an infection or something? See a doctor. Also, I thoght it would be more itching, and emotional problems, than crippling pain like that. And, I think he was lying, btw :2thumbsup:
Drinking water will help dilute your urine and make urinating less painful. Also, try applying tea tree oil to the sores with a q-tip. Try 1000mg of L-Lysine each day to help reduce future outbreaks. Best of luck!
It's very common to get the herpes simplex 1 (oral) form from the local neighborhood swimming pool. I'm still getting mixed messages about simplex 1 becoming simplex 2 for the genital area via from contact from oral sex. Technically, the virus is different but very closely related.
I'm not sure I buy that one. First off, I believe that in order to spread the virus, the guy has to either be very near the point of an outbreak, be in the middle of one, or starting the healing stage. From what I've read about herpes, most guys claim they can feel the onset of an outbreak a day or two before. And I'd think the average guy would know if he had an outbreak in progress as the blisters would be evident on his penis. I can understand a woman not knowing she has it because the blisters can be well-hidden and it's common that wome have other itches and pains down below not necessarily related to herpes. Anyway, just my two cents.
I've never encountered this problem & I've had unprotected sex in the past.. what a shame that something so enjoyable and free should cause such issues.. seems wrong to me.. have we been witnessing the death of sex since the 60s?
Ever any follow-up on this? Because I still think OP just had a UTI. I recently had a UT/bladder infection, and according to the doc, a VERY mild one..... absolutely crippling pain, without aspirin I felt like I was being ripped up, abdominal pain in general, I originally went to the doc because I feared something to be amiss with my kidneys, like a mix between that and testicular pain. My point being, other things can be horribly painful, but I've never heard of herpies causing fever, and that onset was too fast. Maybe SHE gave HIM herpies?
I guess that means you'll never have kids without artificial insemination, as that would require unprotected sex.
sorry that this happened. you may want to look into chinese medicine to treat this according to what I've read, avoiding chocolate, sweets, alcohol, coffee and nuts may help you avoid an outbreak managing stress and meditation might help avoiding shrimp, trout, and mustard greens might help a diet of fresh, lightly cooked whole foods might help you the advice on lysine may be correct hope that things can get better soon!
Sorry you have this. As a fellow member of the "club", it can be painful and just downright annoying. I deal with it by trying to minimize stress and good eating habits. Best of luck to you, AA.
look up monolaurin supplements It's an extracts from coconuts.. I have read stories of people using it daily.. some stories of people who had lots of pain for 20+ years then after using it.. no pain or outbreaks at all..
also found this article... looks like hope http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/...rs-discover-immune-cells-that-suppress-hsv-2/ I am betting within 2 years herpes will be contained... and in 50 years no one will have to suffer from this god awful virus
