Hey there hipsters, Anyone from Edinburgh? I was there in 2003 on the night Cowgate caught fire. I was just wondering about the restoration along cowgate and nicholson and what it all looks like now. I haven't been back since and just read something about Edinburgh in the newspaper here in Tennessee and got curious about the state of things there in the Edinburgh old town. Anyways, funny story: The night it caught fire, I was with the boys in the bar on the corner of High Street and Nicholson, I forgot the name (Tron, maybe?). We got nicely wrecked and when we walked out, there was this massive fire, like 60 meters high. I started walking towards the fire, drawn towards it like a moth towards a flame. I was completely entranced. My buddy had to run down the hill and grab my sweater and drag me back up to safety. He was like "What the hell are you doing?" Anyways, happy travels, Guy
