hay guys, feeling pretty down hearted tonite.my hair has went a mess at the back again.so im seriously considering, undoing my hair and starting over.this time no using wax or bands, just sections and backcombing.i know some disagree with this, but my hair as u know already is very fine.plus i want my dreadies to look neat

Mine are 3 months backcombed and they still look a right mess, and I fully expect them too still be messy after 6 months. I don't think having your hair not look a mess is an option.

I seem to have the huge problem that when I wash my hair anything that I did have 'goin on' just disappears and I have completely untangled hair once again. I have also been wearing a wool hat morning, noon and night for quite sometime. It seems more like 1 step forward and 38 steps back!!!

rea i was talkin to u\

    maybe dilute iytt lil more
    ?

maybe an hour b4 u wash drench em with a sea salt mix
if your hairs oily i have a feeling that the sea salt would help alot and im not certain but i belueve the teatree should cut oiliness better then the peppermint
yeatree beimng an anyiceptic should dry out the oiliness i think
how often are u washin top and are u really scrubbing running your fingers through your hair or just using your fingertips only on the scalp leravin the hair itself alonejust rincving the soap thrpuhh it after

Hey se, for a start i'm gonna make sure I dilute it a little more and I will do the sea salt drenching first like you say.

I had been washing a couple of times a week, but gone down to once a week now just to try and get some good locking goin on. I never run my fingers through my hair when washing it, I just kinda massage the bronners with my fingertips on my head. I have also been wearing a wool hat morning, noon and night for quite sometime now and will continue to do so. I don't expect super fast results, but I do get annoyed when I wash my hair and it looks like it did before my journey begain a month ago!

    Thanks for all the help.

Another tip for washing that I've found useful... is wearing a nylon stocking on my head... and washing the dreads through that... it stops them all falling apart for the first few washes.

Good idea. IMO anyway. I think that's the biggest lesson so far for me, just letting it happen. Forgetting about my hair. Nice one!x
