    1. Acupuncture teaching clinics. If you search for acupuncture schools in your area, most will have a teaching clinic. Teaching clinics typically offer quality care at affordable prices, and also often offer discounts or even free care. I recommend searching for acupuncture schools rather than using the terms "acupuncture teaching clinic" in a search, because you will likely get results for random acupuncture clinics.
Acupuncture schools also sometimes offer free theater treatments. This means that you get treated by a faculty member, while students look on.

    2. Community acupuncture clinics. www.POCAcoop.com has a listing of community acupuncture clinics in the US, and www.acmac.net has listings in the UK.
Community acupuncture clinics will treat you in a group setting. Often times you'll sit in a recliner during your treatment. Treatments are usually much cheaper than private treatments, about $20US. My limited experience is that community clinics will usually not do as thorough a diagnosis as teaching clinics, and that teaching clinics will overall give you a better treatment. On the other hand, if you've got time to spare, community clinics will often let you get as long a treatment as you'd like if they have chairs to spare. You also might like getting treated in a community setting.

There may be other community clinics out there beyond the ones referenced in the links above.

If you want to try Chinese herbal medicine, some clinics will offer customized formulas, while others will offer patent medicines (pre-made forumlas, usually cheaper). Other clinics will not offer herbal medicine at all.

It seems to work well for treating pain, and also conditions related to stress and low energy. In my humble opinion, it can probably help with almost any chronic condition, to a greater or lesser degree depending on the condition.
