I gave up on the search for hash long ago, but I randomly found some today haha. I was in an art store on south street in phillie and some 40ish hippieish looking guy was talking about the grateful dead and syd barrett with a similar buddy of his. After he got out of the store we started talking about music and my tye die shirt and then he offered me some hash! He gave me his cell number and said he has shrooms for 25 an eigth and chocolates as well! Haha life was wonderful today and hash is just as great!
theres little in this world that beats a bowl of nice black hash accompanied by a cup of nice black espresso...unfortunately espresso has a really short shelf life....you can't take a cup home with you and have it be good....and you can't spark up just anywhere here....but if you're lucky enough to have a home espresso machine, then try it for sure! if not, hash and regular brewed coffee is good, too. if you have good coffee
Mmm after thanksgiving dinner, I'll make some niice coffee and smoke a bowl of hash. Thanks for the inspiration haha. Unfortunately no espresso machine though but I'll survive
lol i forgot the the pink floyd's singer syd barrets name and i was gonna look for it and you said it. ps. i just got into pink floyd so thats why i forgot it.
Sorry double post whats the difference between hash , normal weed and oil. i've heard you use the stems or seeds to make oil but i don't know want the difference is really is hash and oil just more concentrated THC?
marijuana is the whole plant matter, particularly the buds (flowers) and leaves, but the buds are the most suitable for smoking as they've got the highest potency as far as different parts of the plant are concerned. now here is a closeup photo i found of a live cannabis plant of apparently high quality. as you can see, crystal-like formations often grow on good pot. these are called trichomes, and are responsible for pot's stickiness, as they are glands that produce resin. as a general rule, the resin glands have the HIGHEST concentration of thc. but they're tiny, unlike buds, and you can't simply pick them off the plant and smoke them. hashish, often shortened to just "hash," is a solid substance made from compressed trichomes. marijuana undergoes a process to remove the trichomes and then the trichs undergo a process of being compressed. depending on what method is used, hash can vary wildly in color from green (fairly impure) to blonde or black (both good colors for hash to be, assuming its good quality) since hashish is a concentrated form of marijuana produced from only the highest quality part of the plant, it goes without saying that it is very, very strong. there is pot out there good enough to get you high or at least buzzed off a single hit even if you have a high tolerance - hashish made from low quality pot will STILL get you buzzed or high off of a single hit, and hash made from good pot will kick your fucking ass. its great stuff, though in the US its pretty much a novelty. growers will often turn their pot into hash so it will keep longer or simply because they love hash, but the unfortunate truth is that hash doesnt get all the THC out of the pot - it is just the resin glands, which contain MOST of the thc. there is still some in the plant. hash is more common in many other countries where much of the cannabis being smoked is smuggled in rather than grown domestically. as hash is so much more potent per gram than the pot it was made from, and since its so much more dense (more matter in a smaller space) its ideal for smuggling. as a result, many places where hash is common see bad hash, cut with other things. it can have all kinds of adulterants, an example being wax. in the uk, i here this low quality hash is called soapbar, and you might as well go ahead and smoke soap. very low quality hash is VERY hard to get high from - but the authentic article is far superior to regular pot. in the US hash is uncommon, and either a novelty or a treat for coinneseurs. i've gotten bad hash once, and bowl after bowl i'd smoke, and it looked fine (blonde) and tasted ok, but i never got high from it. then i've also gotten some soft, sticky black hash that kicked my ass into next week. unfortunately those are the only two times i've bought hash, so i've had mixed experiences, but on the whole hash in america is very rare but usually of good quality. hash oil can be made several ways, as well, and is stronger still than hash. as i understand it, though it may be wrong, hash oil traditionally was literally the oil from hash. it could be heated up a bit to liquify the oils and essentially pressed to squeeze out the oily component that makes up much of the resin glands, this being even stronger than hash itself. but this is very labor intensive and low yielding. more common these days is using a solvent that will dissolve THC to extract the active components from the pot. alcohol can be used, but also dissolves a lot of other stuff from the plants such as natural plant waxes and chlorophyll, resulting in a very thick, black, almost solid mass. still very potent, but taste and potency ARE affected negatively. the advantage lies in the fact that while flammable, alcohol is very common, cheap, and very safe to work with when caution is used. this can be done in the home. other solvents like acetone can be used, as well. the best solvents are very clean nonpolar solvents like butane, hexane, and petroleum ether, so long as the stuff is clean and pure. these are petroleum products, similar to gasoline, though gasoline should never ever be used for health reasons. so long as the substance is pure and of high quality, it will create the highest quality golden hash oil, one of the most incredibly potent cannabis products there is. assuming everything is of high quality, cannabis is amazing, but hash leaves it in the dust. but oil will far surpass hash. the best oil supposedly is made from actual hashish and does not require a solvent as far as i know, but i do not know this for a fact - the traditional manner of producing hash oil could well have been inaccurately conveyed to me. but more common in todays modern world of shortcuts is hash oil produced from pot rather than hash, made with some sort of solvent. this stuff is the only hash oil i've encountered, but even when made from low quality pot its amazing. that said, the better the pot, the better the oil and the better the yield when extracting the oil. some solvents work better than others. alcohol works, but leaves you with a dark gummy substance that almost qualifies as a solid. butane and similar solvents work far better as they are far more selective in what they dissolve, but are also far, far riskier to use as they are explosively flammable. the quantity needed to make the oil is generally enough that as it is evaporated off the substance, the fumes spread far enough and thickly enough that extreme precautions must be taken to prevent the possibility of any sparks or flames igniting the gas and causing a flash fire, not only ruining the product but seriously injuring the manufacturer. while hash and hash oil are superior in quality to cannabis, they're pretty rare as far as the U.S. black market is concerned, and are more often consumed by the people who choose to make them, usually in small batches. i personally like good hash best, even though hash oil is stronger and a solvent penetrates the whole bud, not just collecting whats in the resin glands, unlike hash. regardless, i find the taste and effect of smoking good hash to be most pleasing, and in most cases i'd prefer it to regular pot or even hash oil if given the opportunity to buy one or the other. in my opinion hashish is superior to hash oil despite being lower potency due to the fact that you can smoke it by itself in any type of pipe you can smoke pot in. hash oil requires either a special type of pipe (similar to those used for crack or dmt) or some other matter to put it on, such as pot or tobacco the hash oil is placed within and heated from a flame on the OUTSIDE of the pipe, not directly burned as with cannabis or hash. the oil will soon result in vapors, which are inhaled. this is not as convenient a means of smoking, in my opinion, unless one is smoking in one's home and happens to own a piece suitable for this pursuit. otherwise oil must be applied to something else to be smoked in a regular pot pipe or a joint. hope this cleared some things up, superq....and while i love hash oil, i'd recommend not using anything other than alcohol to make it unless you are ENTIRELY aware of ALL the risks, how flammable other solvents may be, and how to take precautions for your safety.
