Finally done with boot camp

I graduated yesterday and right now im out on townpass. Monday i ship out to sheppard AFB in texas for tech school. Ill be working on jet engines there. Hopefully ill have a laptop and internet soon ive been really missing the forums. I cant believe im finally done with this.

So how has everyone been while i was away?

the brain washing wasnt as bad as i expected so im still the same person i used to be. Well almost.

I got a lot of crazy stories, gotta think of some good ones and type them up when i have time. Right now i need to be heading back to the base.

So what was the training like?

 

congrats, but remember: the brainwashing hasn't really begun. its a gradual thing. they give you the basics in boot, but its ovver time, meeting the lifers, hearing the stories and losing your sense of self that is so damaging. i was in the navy for 7 months, 2 of that boot camp, and in those 7 months i nearly destroyed every relationship i had.

@ HHB ya i guess the worst is over untill i get sent to the iraq. Although if i do get sent over my buddy tells me the guys that work on jet engines work in an air conditioned shop a lot of the time so it wont be too bad i guess.

Hmm trying to think of some stories but alot of the stuff thats coming to mind is stuff that you'd probably have to be there for. But the first night there was kinda funny hearing the MTI's yell at us and the insults they said. One guy got called a paul buynan looking motherfucker. We were all standing behind our beds as they walked up and down the center of the room yelling at us and one kid passed out 2 twice. Another kid had a bed pushed up against him pinning him between the bed and wall locker. After that we all had to point and the numbers on our wall lockers and shout it out for a while. I wasnt noticed at all since i was short, the tall ones mainly got picked on.

Then we went and took showers which was really confusing. We were supposed to stay under each shower head for 5 seconds and then rotate but every shower head was already taken so there was a bunch of naked guys bumping into each other. After that water was everywhere so the MTI yelled at us to clean it up so everyone was taking paper towels trying to get it all moped up. Then we got yelled at some more and went to bed.

That night was horrible since the TI told the EC (basically guards for the dorm, they were trainees about to graduate) to be dicks to us. I was so scared of them i didnt piss that night and had to go so badly, half of the flight did the same thing too. Then they told us a bunch of lies about TI's taking you into the latrine and hitting you saying you slipped and fell etc.


Warrior week was pretty bad. Got eaten alive by bugs the whole damn time and only got 5 hours of sleep every night for the whole week. But at least shooting the m16 was fun. One kid in my flight almost got recycled, his weapon jammed and he took it over to the instructer. Thats a big no no, the weapon is always supposed to be pointing downrange.

Then there was the obsticle course which was fun. Got to see like 5 females fall in nasty ass water. The tear gas was an interesting experience, i didnt think it would be too bad but i was pretty wrong. Your skin starts burning, throat feels like its on fire and you cant stop talking. My eyes were also burning so badly i couldnt open them. I almost ran into the bleachers after i was out of the chamber.

Theres also a couple of funny things you dont say while your there. Like guys, if you sya that the MTI's repley with "guys go to gay bars". Then theres "ok" nothing is ever ok in BMT, i found out that the hard way and had to push texas. Our TI likes to do the 1 push up and then lets you stay in the up position for a while. Theres no bathrooms theres latrines, which i had the pleasure of cleaning twice a day. You wouldnt believe the amount of ball hair that accumlates after 45 people shower.

Well ill try to think of some funny stories but right nwo me and my dad are going to see death race.

 

try almost 80 girls, 6 shower heads, and 5-10 minutes total. fun times. you will never shower faster in your life.
my chief in boot camp was awesome. BU1 Haddad threw a table the length of the room once. that was mildly terrifying. I loved boot camp.

 

really! Ive only heard one other person say that. We didnt have anything like that happen but a TI threw a napkin holder in the chow hall because a trainee was refusing to eat or something like that, he only had one glass of water and a cup of peanut butter on his plate.

That reminds me of another story, first week we were there a trainee wasnt flipping his water glasses over after he was finished so the TI comes over and yells at him to flip them over. So this kid takes the glasses off of his face and flips them over and puts them back on. I wasnt lucky enough to see that one, i tended to miss all the good things in the chow hall.

they used to add things to the food to make your libido disappear and make it impossible to get an erection.

do they still do this?

Lol I've heard about this in jail too, they supposly put shit in Kool-aid.

 

i heard this on the bus but i doubt its true. Your so stressed out you wont get one for a while. I got my first boner 3 weeks in and even then it was just a partial. Didnt really start getting morning wood again till monday.

Another fun fact is you wont take a poop for a while either. I got my first one after 4 days and a couple other guys it took them a week or more.
