    Any favourites?

I think 'The Grande Finale' from Edward Scissorhands is one of the greatest climaxes in cinema music history, i love it. It makes my eyes water listening to it haha (i'm listening to it now) so yeah sorry i love it, i'll send it to anyone if you like.

What are your favourite film soundtracks/songs?

love walk in the clouds both for the music and the cinematography.

another gorgeous soundtrack would have to be dances with wolves.

and then of course disney :p. little mermaid/lion king/aladdin/beauty and the beast (I guess even hercules though I'm not a huge fan of the gospel music and hence it's one of the few disney soundtracks I don't have). but my favorite of the disney's has to be hunchback. it's almost one majestic symphony :).

two other soundtracks I love also - les miserable and miss saigon :).

I like the twin Peaks soundtracks and I once heard the spooky Eraserhead Sndtk. on the radio and it was interesting...not really beautiful in a traditional sense though.

Oh yeah...also the movie Four Rooms... which has a quirky soundtrack by Combustible Edison...a personal fav band of mine!

2001: A space odyssey. The Blue Danube suits the imagery very well and I also love the Also sprach Zarathustra piece, very climatic. I also still love the soundtrack of Jesus Christ superstar, but yeah, that's not a classical one.

Any Miyazaki movie, really... I'm especially fond of Spirited Away right now. My Neighbour Totoro is good fun too. And Princess Mononoke of course.
    The Fifth Element
    Fried Green Tomatoes
    Donnie Darko
Memoirs of a Geisha (at least the soundtrack was good)
2001: a Space Odyssey, despite lots of it being unoriginal music.
    Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
I remember Blade Runner being good.
    Lost in Translationm

lots of others that don't jump to mind...
