Had anyone heard of FAS or had experiences with sufferers that can recommend ways to improve their quality of life?

FAS is an interesting disorder and can be hard to diagnose.
More often than not it is incorrectly diagnosed with sufferers totally unaware they may have it.
There are some excellent support groups world wide for sufferers.

The Solution Is Dead Simple.........If You Are "With Child".......Don't Touch Alcohol For Your Entire Pregnancy.....

Simple As........Problem "Nicked In The Bud".....:smilecat:

    Cheers Glen.

the op is requesting info for people born with fas...not for people driking with child

op...the internet is full of fas facts from reliable sources......you arent going to discover information here to solve your problem and do not appear to be looking for ''fas community'' for support...perhaps telling people which symptoms are affecting you and then maybe people will have suggestions [that arent stupid]

Not allowed to point out its up to 8 times more common with indigenous australians, because that would be racist

"Estimates for FAS (at the more severe end of the spectrum of disorders) range from between 0.01 to 1.7 per 1,000 live births (Burns et al., 2013), although this may be higher among Indigenous communities where FAS has been recorded. The Foundation for Alcohol Research & Education (FARE) reports that among Indigenous Australians, the incidence of FAS may be as high as 1.87 to 4.7 per 1,000 births (Burns et al., 2013)"

Some people believe that it is okay to drink in the beginning when you don't know that your pregnant, but I think people should not drink at all if they are having sex and there might be a possibility of pregnancy. It is said that, "heavy alcohol consumption increases the likelihood of birth defects and infant mortality..."(Levay & Baldwin. 2012. p. 335). For some people that do think is fine to just have a few, this decision can come with problems down the road. The children that are born with this syndrome can be distinguished, " Children with this syndrome are small, have a characteristic facial appearance, and suffer from cognitive and behavioral problems that persist into adulthood (Levay & Baldwin. 2012 p. 335). Even if it is not a lot of alcohol consumed, the parent should be aware of the possible outcome of the child. People that drink while pregnant are in the same place as people that abort their fetus. If drinking can be avoided than it should and if the person cant stop drinking than don't try to get pregnant or be protected at all times to avoid pregnancy. Alcohol consumption also increase "...spontaneous abortion, premature birth, low birth weight, congenital malformation" ( Levay & Baldwin. 2012. p. 335). These are all very serious side effects that a child can be born with.

It's probably the Russians once again trying to influence the election by making it appear Bernie Sanders isn't in the best of health.
