Never pay to go to festivals! You can work a few hours and get in for free, many even pay you to be there. Why anyone would want to pay to go to one is a little beyond me:confused:

Yeah, Ive never paid for a festy :D

Although I missed the opportunity to work at Life festival last year in West Meath which ended up with me getting beaten by a dyke security guard while I was tripping...fucking hard to defend yourself from a gorilla of a woman in that state  the Gardí snuck me back in though hahahaha

Not too sure about festivals in the UK but Electric Picnic is the best one over here ;) in September

Ive worked festivals for 10 years and yup its better to work them than pay to go to them
greenstewards.com dc site services are the main companys I work for

ones I like are glastonbury I work for greenstewards but there are lots of other people to work for too sunrise celebration , shambala, beautiful days, lattitude, big green gathering if there ever is another one , I like reading because you have to put out lots of fires I did boardmasters surfing festival ,a skateboarding festival cant really remember all of the ones Ive worked at as they all meld into one .

if you want advice post and me or lithium can advise , you can work them non stop from may till sept and get paid, then some people work through the winter abroad doing festivals in places like spain

For most of the festivals here theres a company hired from Derry, load of cunts they are though, they had a lot of complaints last year and I doubt they will be hired again

We were going to the big green gathering this year but we were turned away by police when we got there saying it was cancelled :( the one in Ireland is over now too..

    Ill check that one out...

Dont mean to be rude but whats with all the English crusties having nicknames like johnny2mad?

Like I know a tony2small, maddogdom, a few others too, just wondering as to the history of that trend in nicknames. Its always among a similar middle aged group of UKers...just curious
    :cheers2:

I'm going to bloodstock and Download. The latter is so expensive I wouldn't usually bother, but there are a few things I cannot pass up this time around.

But yeah, I paid for my ticket collecting rubbish one year. I wont lie, it is kind of shit- but at least you're in y'know.

Most festivals you can work for free entry over here in the Uk, either through set ups such as OXFAM - you do a bit of charity work whilst there and they give you entry. Or do bar work for a couple hours a day. Basically everyone who works a festy gets in free so just get applying!!

Doing Latitude and Glastonbury this year hell yeah baby!!!

Hop fence, get in with someone inside, work...fuck loads of ways to get in :D

Yeah same over here, here you usually have to pay a deposit that you get back when youve done X amount of hours work.
