    Hi,
We are trying to get pregnant...can anyone give me some advice as far as foods to eat, or other natural things we can do to help our chances? Should I take certain vitamins, etc?

    Thanks in advance!
    Peace.

I would suggest charting your cycles, before undergoing any drastic lifestyle or diet changes. I recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It would have to be full on fluid, temp, and cervical opening charting to get a good read.

After you've determined your fertility, if there are any problems, they can be addressed. If you don't ovulate every month, maybe try a low-estrogen diet.

No matter what, I recommend a high fiber and nutrient diet, and upping your water and folic acid intake. Make sure you're getting enough water to drink consistently before becoming pregnant because you'll have to drink even more when you are! :)

    Congrats and *baby dust*

    Avoid hot tubs and saunas.

Stop smoking, drinking, and taking drugs.

Start walking every day. Tai chi and yoga are also things you can do before, during and after.

Meditate and focus on getting pregnant, and having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy child. A positive attitude can make a huge difference.

Add more calcium to your diet; milk, cheese, yogurt.

Think about what kind of delivery you want to have... do you want a doctor or a midwife, a home birth, waterbirth, etc....
