http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/01/11/missouri.ferret.fingers/ A pet ferret ate seven of a baby's fingers while it slept. The parents didn't know until it was too late... Isn't this horrible!?
....Why where they fucking starving their ferret like that? Or why did they let rabid ferrets in the house? It said there where also concerns about how they treated their dogs. Sounds like it was underfed and mistreated. Also, why the fuck was an infant sleeping in the kitchen? (I mean, theoretically of course that's just fine, but in this case, it seems to point to more problems) I feel the need to say that making people pay to have pets on their property is crazy and should be illegal, in my opinion, since the story mentions that they where in violation of this practice, and proves how it doesn't make anything safe, it just brings in free tax money.
it didnt...the screams were what woke the parents up the babies crying woke the mother....then the mothers screaming woke the father
i have a mix of emotions about this. yea, it sucks for the baby... but man, thats just funny nom nom nom went the ferret :2thumbsup:
I don't know why this bothers me so much... Just imagine being the baby and watching helplessly as a ferret began to eat you. Horrifying.
I gotta say, I found the story pretty funny the way fitzy put it. The way I see it: shitty parents = the baby was fucked anyways. But the ferret just got unlucky about who it's owners were. I would say owning a natural carnivore and a baby together are not good ideas.
Certainly not, when you put it that way. The funny part is the ferret eating the fingers. I mean, those guys are goofy as hell looking anyway, but sitting there gnawing on some fingers is just ridiculous. You remind us about a screaming baby attached and you're only killing the fun.
the parents are the ones that should be hurled against a wall....no way dad is getting out of jail intact
I've had ferrets and will have them again... Like any other type of animal, in general, the way it is treated and raised is what determines the way it acts... As for this story... ANY parent who would sleep through their child screaming, or put it off as nothing to worry about (or whatever other reason they try to use for not getting there sooner), should have all their animals AND kids taken away from them, and they should be charged.
You can not blame an unsupervised animal for behaving as an animal. You can blame parents for not keeping their child safe in a situation that was avoidable. Sadly that child will pay the price of their incompetence. What a really sad and disheartening story.
